Pros:

Mijn verblijf op deze houseboat in Srinagar was werkelijk onvergetelijk. Vanaf het moment dat ik aankwam, werd ik hartelijk ontvangen en voelde ik me meteen welkom. De eigenaar en het hele team waren ontzettend vriendelijk, behulpzaam en deden er alles aan om mijn verblijf zo aangenaam mogelijk te maken.

De kamer was schoon, comfortabel en smaakvol ingericht, met een prachtig uitzicht dat zorgde voor een rustige en ontspannen sfeer. Het eten was vers, heerlijk en met veel zorg bereid. De gastvrijheid die ik hier heb ervaren was uitzonderlijk en maakte mijn reis nog specialer.

Ik raad deze houseboat van harte aan aan iedereen die Srinagar bezoekt. Bedankt voor deze geweldige ervaring!

Reception at Gate 9. Good.
Room good.
No drinking water.
Food ... Dinner not provided..
Breakfast .. Only 2 breads and two 10 GMs of jam. and 100 GMs of poga and tea.
No tissues.
NO FREE SHIKKARA RIDE
THEY SAID WE GAVE YOU " PREMIUM ROOM".
SOORY. I am a Tour operator.
Particular day.. I did not get any room.. Believing " Booking.com" Room was booked
It is Shame on our part to believe this type of " JAIL".
It is nothing but a Jail. Confinement.
No food.. No servants. You need to search.
Finally dal lake mobile vendors are our food market.
" As a Trip Advisor.. I recommend " Please don't Book this Jail for any Guests".
Initially they refused for Breakfast.
I had shown your voucher then .. They offered biscuit for " Dogs".

Superb ONE-NIGHT stay
Pros:

I liked that by booking two rooms we got a whole houseboat to ourselves, which included two attached bathrooms, a dining room and an entrance hallway. From the inside the houseboat was massive and elegantly decorated, felt like part of a castle. There was no apparent smell that one might expect living in the middle of a lake. The staff were friendly. The location in terms of view is also good, on a good day you can see the Hari Parbat, Shankaracharya Temple and snow-clad mountains at the same time. One of the staff himself is a Shikarawala so the Dal Lake Shikara experience start right at the door-step of our houseboat.

Cons:

Bathrooms did not have exhaust fans. Since it's a houseboat, getting in or out to explore the city is a hassle. Fetching food gets difficult and time consuming even for the staff. Loaction in terms of access is not so good, it takes time to get a Shikara out which will slowly take us to one of the ghats farther away from citycenter and the Ghats road is always experiencing traffic jams, so getting a rickshaw is not very usefull too. The Shikara though comfortable and sturdy, it was very simple and mundane unlike others you might witness in the lake which can be very artisanal and ornate.

Inside is nice and clean. Very friendly staff members.

Cons:

None specific to the property. But overall, don’t think staying in a houseboat is the best idea. Could easily do everything you’d do from a houseboat from a shikkara ride.

Pros:

Amazing stay at Houseboat Riyadh. Very nice and kind hospitality. Buffet breakfast and buffet dinner is yummy , delicious and also South Indian.everyday menu was different . Staff is amazing and served us very well. Rooms are clean and hygiene.

Pros:

The service staff were excellent. Very obliging. Other than this rest all were pathetic.

Cons:

Bath room toilet seat was found dismantled. Flush was not working. They changed the room next day. The whole bath room was leaking from commode. It was booked as free cancellation but the owner claimed it to be non refundable. The boathouse is away from the main stream and located on the back side not having any view of the lake.

Pros:

A must visit for a wholesome experience. From scenic views to live traditional music to healthy and delicious cuisines , the houseboat lives upto its name ' Pasadona' . A special mention for the entire onboard staff ( sohail , wasseem ) for their exquisite hospitality. A sure value for money .

These guys really understand the meaning of the word hospitality.
Pros:

Me and my family had a host of misgivings about staying in houseboat , it might be smelly the place might be full of mosquitoes🦎🦟🕷️🦗 and insects felt. It was moored in stagnant water after all. Plus no one was sure how the bathrooms would be. So we booked a house boat only for a day after all we did not want to take a chance. However as all of alighted in Pasadona on our last day we wished(including children) we would stayed in the boat for our entire trip. The boat it breathtakingly beautiful with carved walnut panels and carpets all around , the common area is spacious and very comfortably furnished. We were given 2 rooms both the rooms very comfortably furnished with four poster beds an ornate desk with lamp and everything else one would expect in a five star property Highly recommended 👏

I even met the 54 year old owner and kept on talking for so long.
Pros:

One of the best houseboats in Srinagar. Offers 2 time shikara rides during sunrise and sunset. The food is excellent. And the overall ambience of the place isn't something to be missed while you're doing a houseboat tour.

I and my wife stayed in Pasadona Houseboat for one night. This is very good house boat, very clean and all facilities are available. Food quality is very good, service is very quick and the staff is friendly and helpful. Highly recommend
