The rooms were very nice and spacious, and the property was beautiful. It was a very short walking distance to the entrance of the Great Wall scenic area which was very convenient. The staff was also exceptionally friendly - they served dinner after our arrival even though the restaurant had technically stopped serving dinner before we checked-in, staff helped us organise transport back to Beijing, and was very helpful and friendly throughout our stay.
This is a superb hotel in a great location just metres from the entrance to the Great Wall.

200m from the final ticket check, allowing you to get quickly in the Great Wall section.

Location is fantastic, can't sleep closer to the entrance. Went for a sunrise hike (gates open at 04:00 AM) and departed at 3:58 AM to be first at the gate (and wall).
Would recommend to stay, only for its location.
Breakfast was Chinese-style, so not ideal for non-Asian tourists.
Room was spacious, but not 100% neat - Some spiders in the corners and still some hairs from former tourists were found in the shower...

Sin embargo, resulta incomprensible que un hotel con semejante potencial ofrezca un servicio tan deficiente en áreas clave. Tanto el hall principal como el comedor parecen más una cafetería de estación de servicio que un hotel de este nivel.
La comida fue malísima y el ambiente del restaurante, francamente pésimo. Es una pena que un lugar tan espectacular quede empañado por una experiencia gastronómica y un servicio tan pobres.

Amazing location right next to the entrance of Jinshanling Great Wall
The receptionist early morning when we arrived was sleeping and had no clue about my booking. She made a mistake and charged me more. Later during the day she refunded back the entire amount she charged and I made the payment of the room rent once again next Sunday morning. The refund has not yet come through to my credit card.
The location is truly unique, beautifully integrated into nature and thoughtfully designed, creating a very special atmosphere.
The rooms were well-equipped and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The included breakfast was very good and a great added value.
A real highlight is that the hotel is the perfect starting point to watch the sunrise at the Great Wall of China – just about a 30-minute walk away.
It’s worth noting that there is not much around the hotel itself, so it’s best suited for guests looking to relax and stay on the property.
A couple of minor downsides were the very cold floor in the room and the entrance door, which could not be fully opened.
Overall, a wonderful place to unwind in a unique natural setting – with an unforgettable sunrise experience nearby.
Really helpful staff at an unbeatable location. You are in a wonderful, comfortable place with lots of lovely design touches and a dining room overlooking great wall and you are literally 300 m from the entrance. Fantastic!
Nothing everything was great
The location is amazing.
The whole place felt quite tired and in need of some work - missing tiles, dirty floors, worn out chairs etc. Our room was a bit grubby and we only got a single tea bag (as did the other people we knew staying there so it wasn’t an accident) and there’s no coffee provided at all. It’s relatively expensive by Chinese standards so I expected a bit more.
Room was fabulous!
