nada muy sucio
muy muy sucio , sábanas sin cambiar sucias de los anteriores , restos de comida en el suelo concretamente un finger de queso o muy parecido
Ottima posizione e ben collegato col il centro. Atmosfera tipica scozzese
Purtroppo l’hotel ha grandi mancanze dal punto di vista igienico e strutturale: lavandino spaccato, carta da parati staccata ma soprattutto peli/ capelli nel letto all’arrivo.
Location
Not at all clean. We found dust and hair on bed sheets and duvets. We felt discomfort and itching due to that.Toilet is too small with a small wash basin near the closet, can't use properly. and the flush was not working.
Location, value for money
Basic, needs decor upgrade
Ferah bir penceresi vardı
Çarşaflar kırışıktı ve oda çok temiz hissi vermedi
The staff are lovely and everything was clean.
It was a bit run down and dated (could definitely do with some renovations) but I knew that at the time of booking. I also only had a single teabag in the coffee area and three of the milk pouches were out of date - but fortunately had brought instant coffee with me!
The place was exactly as described. I rang the doorbell twice and someone came down to show me to my room. The room was a decent size and had lovely views of Arthurs seat. The shared toilet and shower were fine too. It was only 30 mins walk from the centre and the bus routes were really good.
It wasn't the most clean but apart from that, it was exactly as described.
Good:
- Cheap price and friendly staff
- Within walking distance of city centre
- Very spacious room
- Free parking (although side road to get to the back of the property is extremely narrow)
Bad:
- Paperwork left around lobby area with private information! Including room codes! Not acceptable.
- Our Room lock seemed very weak. Large crack on door frame where lock is. I think it could easily have been pushed open with a little force. Didn’t feel safe leaving valuables there.
- Seemingly no housekeeping/cleaning. Our room didn’t seem to be vacuumed before our stay and the lobby areas were not either.
- Filthy bathroom.
- Bathroom shelf was bent, resulted in a glass breakage. We had to clean up ourselves without a dustpan and brush or vacuum (though suitable gloves were provided). Surely dustpan and brush are essential in a guest house??
- Window had a draft and we could hear everything on street
- Mattress wasn’t good for back
- Décor is dated but this is not important for us.
Location, Accomodation, Practical
Could have breakfast
Lovely old building, handy for city centre without being central.
Poorly maintained, shabby furniture that felt like some beds stuffed into offices, no reception or staff - no-one there to check in, no answer on the number given initially. Cracked front window propped open with a block of wood. Tatty branded curtains from a previous incarnation of the guest house. No breakfast. Bizarre full size fridge freezer in the middle of the bedroom(!).
Not all bad - the room we had was large, it had an en-suite. The staff that were there were pleasant and laid back (fine with us using the car park - which was really handy - early, no hassle about late - mid-festival arrivals)
Could bus connectivity for the location.
Very good value for Fringe season.
Clean.
A lot of traffic noise and poor light exclusion from the blinds and curtains.
The check-in arrangements were not communicated.
The digital locks caused stressed for other guests and a knock on the front door at 0230hrs.
Freedom to come and go with digital entry locks on outside door and room door
Room a little stuffy because of sealed double glazing
