The facilities were to an impeccable standard. The hosting couple are an absolute joy to be around. Always going out of their way to help us.

Отличное место. Находясь в гости чувствуешь что ты как будто дома. Очень добрые, дружелюбные и отзывчивые хозяева. Нас встретили и обратно довезли до вокзала. Рассказали подробно про маршруты. Прекрасный и очень вкусный ужин, где можно попробовать много чего разнообразного. Вкусный и полезный завтрак.
Чистый номер, удобная кровать, есть кондиционер.
Однозначно рекомендую.

The hosts, 秀儿 and 王杰（Jack), were incredibly kind and hospitable. Before our trip, 秀儿 and I connected on WeChat, and she was patient and thorough in answering all my questions so I can best prepare for my trip. During the trip, they worked hard everyday to take care of all of us, from transportation to food to travel recommendations. Because Gubeikou is a bit remote (which we love), we relied on Jack to drive us to all the destinations once we got to the BnB. Each transportation is a separate fee from the accommodation, but we felt that the cost was fair. Meals are not included, but we highly recommend trying their home-cooked breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They made some of the best food we had while we were China (and we were there for a whole month!) They made us feel like we had a home away from home. The Great Wall of China was epic, but staying here with 秀儿 and 王杰 made a great trip AMAZING.

Perfect hosts who can help with all kinds of transportation. Extremely cozy place. The dinner is outstanding.

I had a wonderful stay at this inn. Although modern in its facilities, it is built in a classic courtyard style, creating a cosy, atmospheric setting. The rooms are spacious, spotless, and very comfortable, with excellent beds and well‑designed bathrooms featuring high‑tech toilets.

The food is another highlight — fresh ingredients, beautifully prepared, and genuinely delicious.

But the greatest strength of this place is the hosts. They are a lovely couple: warm, humorous, and always ready with helpful advice on what to see and do. They assisted me with planning my itinerary and, crucially, helped me secure a Tiananmen Square access reservation when WeChat refused to cooperate.

It’s an ideal choice for a solo traveller, and from what I observed, equally suitable for families.

Джек и Сю - потрясающие владельцы гостиницы: очень дружелюбные, всегда готовые помочь. Комната новая и очень чистая, прекрасный бело-деревянный эко-дизайн со вниманием к деталям. Кровать удобная, бельё белоснежное, в душе всегда есть горячая вода, кондиционер работает тихо. Уютный дворик, где можно посидеть. Нас встретили на станции с табличкой; в день треккинга по стене Джек отвёз на своём комфортном автомобиле к старту маршрута, а на финише забрал; в день отъезда нас тоже отвезли на станцию (она совсем недалеко). Обязательно попробуйте ужины и завтраки, которые готовит Сю: я почувствовал себя Цинь Шихуанди, настолько много на столе было блюд (общий крутящийся стол на 10 человек) и очень вкусно.

The house is very new, the beds are comfortable and everything was clean. What’s exceptional about this place are the hosts! Jack and Xiu made us feel at home from the time we arrived. They helped us organise our hikes, gave us lifts to the shop and to the entrance of the Great Wall, sang karaoke with us and cooked the most delicious meals for us ❤️

We had an absolutely wonderful stay here and can highly recommend it to anyone traveling through the area. The hosts were incredibly kind, warm-hearted, open, and full of humor - we felt welcome from the very first moment.
The rooms were spotlessly clean and very comfortable. A special highlight was the amazing food: Xiu prepared delicious Chinese meals for us both in the morning and in the evening, and everything tasted fantastic.
What made our stay truly unforgettable was the time we spent together with the hosts. In the evening, we even sang karaoke together, which was so much fun and created such a lovely, personal atmosphere.
They really went above and beyond to make sure we felt completely at home - and they absolutely succeeded. We would come back anytime!

I loved how caring the family is who runs this guesthouse. They are always there to help through text messages or taking you in their car. This place was also very clean and had a great roof top area. I included a picture of my breakfast which was made for me at 7:00am and freshly made.

This is literally the best place to stay ever. Jack and Xiu are sooo nice and funny. They help you with getting to the wall, making amazing food (also vegetarian!) and are amazing singers ;). The rooms are very beautiful, spacious and clean. The vibe of the town is really cool as well!
I could've stayed here much longer, but definitely worth to stay two nights for the Jinshanling to Gubeikou hike. The Gubeikou wall feels really special and ancient. One of the best days ever.

The guesthouse was beautiful! The location was amazing and I cannot say enough good things about Xiu and Jack. They go above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable. Xiu cooked delicious dinners every night and Jack was waiting for me at the train station when I arrived. They took turns dropping me off and picking me up for hikes, walked me in the visitor center to help me buy tickets, and hosted karaoke parties at night. They were warm and welcoming and absolutely wonderful.

We had a really nice time at Xiu and Jack's house. Everything was clean and cosy, but most of all, Xiu and Jack were very friendly and helpful. They gave us advices and helped us with many things. The location is great too, a few kilometers from an incredible spot of the wall.
We recommend !

This is a small courtyard house that is clean and very comfortable in a beautiful village. It is picturesque and quiet and in the evening many locals are strolling around or elderly people working in the fields. Access is easy by train from Beijing north station and Jack and Xiu (Maggie) were lovely hosts. They are excellent cooks and the dinner was delicious. Maggie also made us sandwiches to take up to the wall. We walked around 7km with the children, a great day at the Great Wall! Jack is an excellent singer and the kids enjoyed karaoke with him and playing cards. They wanted to stay longer. A really special experience in China.
