Nothing
The entire apartment was immaculate. Super comfortable and clean. The onsen, the sauna, and the foot bath were amazing. We love the facility and hope to be back again.
It was rough having to drag the luggage from the train station without a sidewalk. We had to walk on the road and felt super scary and dangerous as cars kept driving by.
It is perfect for a peaceful few days away from the business of the rest of Japans big city areas. It was such a lovely space to stay for a few days, and we didn’t want to leave.
It’s a little difficult to get to from the train. There’s no path, just winding roads.
Room was wonderful view and comfortable bed.
No front desk and won’t let you wait at the lobby in case you arrive early with heavy luggage’s or during a storm. I have to wait by the door.
It’s spacious and very clean. The kitchenette was has everything I need to make simple meals for my children.
I think the online check in can be smoother.
Great room, excellent amenities, and beautiful location!
The room itself was awesome! The beds were good. The atmosphere was really nice. The washer/dryer worked great. The hotel had nice amenities and lots of attention to detail. We enjoyed the balcony and the private onsen. There was a comfy couch with a big screen TV where we were able to watch a baseball game.
Based on other reviews we were a bit worried about there being no staff onsite but it was not a problem for us because we had access to Wifi and were able to complete the required forms and check-in stuff beforehand. It's a bit more work than having a front desk but turned out okay for us.
Yes, getting to the actual hotel took a bit of off-roading (we hiked down a little path from the train station) but, again, it seemed worth it for the price and quality of room.
Everything, this was such a treat to stay there! Room was gorgeous and they give you lots of treats in the fridge… onsen and sauna were amazing!!
Amenities like food and groceries are not close, because it’s an unmanned facility there was some issues with the vending machine, we couldn’t purchase more coffee, and there’s no one onsite to help, the unmanned hotels I find a bit frustrating
Amazing property with great views. Our apartment was very spacious with so many comforts. Wished we had more time to enjoy the space. This is a great central point for exploring Hakone - short walk to the nearest Hakone Free Pass bus and train route. The in-room onsen and foot bath were perfect at the end of a busy sightseeing day.
This property was unmanned, and we had a few minor hiccups during the check in process.
Spacious, modern apartment-style stay with an immaculate, high-end feel throughout. The private onsen was a standout highlight and made the stay genuinely relaxing and memorable. Rooms were large, clean, and very well maintained. Completely self-check-in with no onsite staff, which made it feel private and seamless. We managed to find a ramen restaurant run out of an elderley man's house, best ramen we had in Japan.
Only downside is the limited food options nearby, so planning meals in advance is necessary. We werent aware of the days the nearby restarants werent open, which happened to be the 2 days we were there.
