Dead bugs under the sheet and midnight smoke alarms

Our upgraded room was super spacious.

Cons:

Check in was not available at the check in time, they pushed the time twice. We were extremely tired, wanted a refund to check in to another nearby hotel, and they finally upgraded us to a room that was available. We found dead bugs under the sheet. The smoke alarm was chirping at 12am and it was am hour before anyone came to fix it.

booking.com system doesnt tie up with hotel system creating gaps.
Cons:

We were asked to move out of our room after requesting for early day check in (directly from the hotel). The front desk and reservation didn't manage to connect our early day in check in to our prepaid booking.com reservation which was frustrating and caused us delays.

Pros:

Breakfast and Dinner were both great. We really enjoyed breakfast in the cafe. My wife really enjoyed the spacious bathroom and the bed was super comfy. The staff were very helpful and inviting.

Cons:

Room service for dinner was very slow and they messed up our order twice, but once we got our food it was delicious. The blackout curtains don't go all the way to the wall and the light from the street was bothersome.
