Wir waren für eine Nacht dort und es hat uns wirklich an nichts gefehlt!
Das Essen war super und die Safari wurde für uns organisiert. Es war ein sehr entspannter Aufenthalt!

Alle dort sind sehr freundlich und unser Zimmer war sehr schön und sauber!

Wonderful family atmosphere
Super welcoming - Janik and staff were very attentive at all times and could not do enough.
The home cooked food from his mum was amazing.
All excursions were available from the property and the safari into Udawalawe park did not disappoint- many elephants and other wildlife
We will be recommending this place widely to all friends and family

Questo posto è superlativo. Non potete non andarci se volete visitare il vicino parco nazionale. La struttura è molto carina immersa nel verde con anche la piscina a disposizione. Tutto curato nei dettagli con grande attenzione alla sostenibilità. La stanza grande con una porta finestra che dà sul giardino (che è chiuso e non ci sono problemi di privacy), arredata benissimo, letto comodo con zanzariera, il bagno anche molto caratteristico e con prodotti da bagno fatti in casa ottimi. La cena una delle migliori della vacanza. La signora cucina da Dio e mi è dispiaciuto non avere tempo per partecipare a una delle sue lezioni di cucina. Che dire poi dell'accoglienza e della gentilezza della famiglia che gestisce la struttura e delle persone che ci lavorano. Mai vista una cosa del genere. Dico solo che hanno capito che amo i fiori e ci hanno fatto trovare dei fiori del giardino a colazione colti al mattino dalla signora con un pensiero scritto apposta per noi. Noi senza parole. Consigliatissimo.

We were intrigued to stay here as we had never stayed in a 10-rated hotel on Booking.com. At first we were a bit underwhelmed but the charming staff, great food, wonderful room and amazing location next to the safari park soon win you over. Nice friendy dogs wandering around too

Super schöne und familiäre Unterkunft. Wir haben uns extrem wohl gefühlt und würden definitiv wieder kommen. Die angebotene Safari war zudem sehr entspannt. Ankommen und wohlfühlen. Hier passt echt alles.

The ambiance of this hotel is amazing. The rooms are very clean and nice. The food is very good but what is best about this accommodation are the people that work here. Everyone is very kind and helpful. They really think along and loved the phrase of the host “ This is your holiday, you should relax”.

Jannik couldn't do enough for you and the food was lovely made by his mother. Me and my friend loved the Sri Lankan food & after cleaning off our plates his mother offered us more! The pool is perfect for cooling off and clearly maintained well.

Its a smaller hotel so feels very personal and is great value for money. Jannik made sure we had everything we needed & organised the safari for me with some other guests where we saw so many elephants up close!

Beautiful setting in natural environment. Garden courtyard being the centre piece - a truly tranquil experience. Interior and exterior impeccably clean. Janik, his mother and their team couldn’t be more welcoming and helpful and this is a family hotel in every sense 👍❤️An opportunity to experience exceptional fresh homemade Sri Lankan food which was delicious and the best we have tasted on this trip.

Oppholdet vårt på Amba Kola ble veldig spesielt, mye takket være Janik og familien hans. Vi følte oss mer som en del av familien enn som vanlige gjester.

Naturen rundt er vakker og safarien som ble organisert var veldig godt planlagt og en opplevelse. Vi spiste deilig mat under oppholdet som var tilberedt med lokale produkter. Tusen takk til Janik og familien for en opplevelse vi sent vil glemme❤️

Thank you to Yanick for his incredible warm welcome and patiently helping me with all my requests - I felt so well taken care of! The hotel looks absolutely gorgeous with the pool and the room design is beautiful! Most of all: the home cookes breakfast/lunch are insanely good!

I stayed at this hotel for one night and everything was wonderful. The room was clean and beautiful, exactly as shown in the pictures. The pool was absolutely fantastic.

The hotel is a bit remote, but that makes it very peaceful and a great starting point for a safari. We received a very warm welcome, and the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive.

The homemade food was amazing – you should definitely try as much of it as possible!

We had a wonderful stay at Amba Kola, a little oasis in the jungle! Janik and staff were always helpful and polite from the moment we arrived.
The breakfasts and dinners we had were delicious and Janik always found time for a chat!
He arranged an awesome safari for us and it was so nice that the park is only 10 minutes away.
Thoroughly enjoyed the pool such a great bonus!
