Stayed to break a journey from Sussex to Cornwall. Very nice room, delicious food - evening meal and breakfast - all very good.

Location excellent for our needs (visiting West Somerset railway - 5 minutes away on foot). Within 15 minutes of coast at Watchet. Room comfortable, well laid out and well appointed. Bed comfortable with some of the best pillows I've ever had in a hotel/pub. Pub closes early at 10pm, so no noise issues at night. Plenty of parking. Would heartily recommend it but be aware of the issues noted below
No breakfasts, Restaurant closed Sunday and Monday - neither of which affected our score as we knew about these in advance and planned accordingly, but in the abstract we didn't like this. Room temperature Friday and Saturday horrendous. South facing room left with windows shut and curtains open in temperatures in the high 20's and 30's. Without this, which really affected our first night and too a n extent second night, we would have given a higher overall score.
We were going on a trip on the West Somerset Railway and it was perfect for that.
We had dinner in the restaurant and that was excellent.
The pub closes on a Sunday so you were not able to access the bar.

What an absolute gem of a place! Beautiful apartment. We stayed as a couple in the double. Bed but there is also the option of having up to 3 children in a separate room within the apartment too. Very clean and comfortable. Very short walk to the Boshops Lydeard heritage railway station woo
