friendly and comfortable, with good food and friendly helpful staff
Pros:

Good breakfast served by friendly staff. Location good, and close to other amenities

Cons:

handbook in room could do with updating, although we were off season

Friendly comfortable place.
Pros:

Really comfortable run by lovely people and stinking hot water for the bath! Lovely leather chairs to sit and read with a pint.

Nice location in the heart of Shepton Mallet
Pros:

Location was ideal to be able to walk around Shepton Mallet after I'd checked in - 2/3 supermarkets within walking distance as well as Costa/Greggs/Subway. Hotel is having a re-vamp but this didn't detract from a good stay.

Cons:

I should have asked for a fan as I didn't like to leave the window open with a little ledge outside my room - but once I realised there wasn't one it was a bit late so my fault!

A short but pleasant stay
Pros:

Exactly as expected, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very good and reasonably priced. Nice that they provide some small bottles of shower gel, body lotion & soap and coffee/tea facilities in the room.

Cons:

Took a while to get the shower (over the bath) to the right temperature and pressure wasn't great but it served a purpose and wasn't a major issue.

Lovely stay and we enjoyed the whole experience
Pros:

The hotel was lovely, perfect location for myself and my mum who attended a ghost hunt at the prison, 8 minute walk and we were there. Debbie the owner was so lovely and accommodating from the moment we arrived. We enjoyed a couple of drinks from the well stocked bar within the hotel. The breakfast the following day was incredible! Such good value for money and absolutely delicious 😋 we will definitely be returning.

Comfortable and friendly
Pros:

Location perfect for local tourist sites . Car parking free outside in front garden and plenty of it.

Cons:

We only had one bedside table lamp. As we both read in bed it would have been nice to have had another one. Perhaps somebody took it as there were 2 last year.

Had a really great time, would stay again
Pros:

Clean, welcoming, basic amenities in the room but absolutely adequate. Restaurant on site, bar on site, breakfast available - overall absolutely fine! Very friendly staff, onsite parking :)

Cons:

Bit chilly in the middle of the night, the cold woke me up, extra blanket provided but it was still too chilly with the single pane windows so struggled to sleep due to that - perhaps in the winter the heating will be switched on during the night, we are only in autumn. For the price I think breakfast should be included.

Very outdated. Shower did not work and extremely cold at night. Bed uncomfy.

The town is tired as the is the hotel. Would not go back there is nothing too like about the place?

100 is a lot to pay in this town. No breakfast included in the price!
