Wonderful short break.
Pros:

The hotel was right in the village a lovely old place with a wonderful atmosphere, the staff were wonderful very friendly and nothing was too much trouble, we definitely wouldn't stay anywhere else when we are in Shepton Mallet.

Cons:

There wasn't anything to not like.

Relaxing, friendly and very accommodating

We were visiting the prison and they were so close and the staff were always there and so friendly and such a laugh

Nice Hotel, shame about the town.
Pros:

Breakfast and food eaten on site was very good. Location is central for a few attractions and owners very friendly and welcoming.

Cons:

Rooms ready for updating, Town very quiet and not many places to eat or drink.

A lovely stay
Pros:

In town, which was helpful for our ghost hunt at the prison there. Lovely staff and answered any questions we had. Room was comfortable and quiet. Got a good night's sleep. Had parking with plenty of spaces.

Ideal for what we needed, would definitely book again.
Pros:

We booked the shrubbery because it is literally a 5 min walk ti the prison where we had booked ghost hunt. The reception is not manned 24hrs but they provide a front door key to allow for late nights out. The staff were super friendly and the food was gorgeous.

Cons:

Not a complaint from my side but I can imagine people complaining about the size of the room but it was perfect for an overnight stay. We had an en suite, tea & coffee making facilities and a selection of pillows. Not sure what more you could expect to be honest.

Definitely recommend this Hotel .
Pros:

Fantastic location. Lovely friendly staff. Nice restaurant and extremely good food . Good value meal for dinner . Nice room and a bathroom with a bath.

Cons:

Found the bed to be uncomfortable.

A convenient, friendly hotel right in the middle of town
Pros:

Unfortunately we had to leave early, otherwise we would have enjoyed the breakfast. Fantastic to be able to park the car safely. Free wi-fi, all amenities were supplied that you could want. Slept well. We felt welcomed and at home

Cons:

For a 2 star there was nothing we did not like - a great location - lovely people.
