Cons:

Dirty, unwashed bedding. Blanket, pillow and bed sheet full of hair. Mattress was old. Room v

Comfortable room but disappointed that the WiFi in my room didn't work and nothing was done
Pros:

The bed was very comfortable, lovely fluffy towels, all I needed

Cons:

The WiFi in my room didn't work and when I reported it, nothing was done. This was a major problem for me as I was on a work trip so I had to leave the hotel earlier than expected in the morning and head into Coventry to find somewhere to send emails from.

Very good stay in nice place
Pros:

Very nice receptionist upon arrival, easy check in. Well equipped room with TV, fridge/freezer, microwave and coffee making facilities. Clean and comfortable.
Easy walking distance from centre

Cons:

Only minor was intermittent wifi in room - worked in one area but not another

Great reception staff. Very helpful.
Lovely spacious room. Comfy bed. Lots of parking.

Cons:

WiFi had recently been updated so some confusion over the relevant WiFi hub and passwords but resolved promptly once alerted.

Grea place to stay for price, accessibility and staff.
Pros:

Central location on a reasonably quiet site. The room was clean with good quality bedding. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Surprisingly the facility had a night attendant, a great touch when you take into account the pricing for the stay.

Cons:

Unfortunately they do not provide breakfast but did give me a good recommendation on a nearby cafe. I could not access the wifi despite trying three times using the password provided however did not raise this with the staff as I was only staying overnight.

Great location. Old world charm.
Pros:

Great location, walking distance to the town. Good kitchen area in the family room with microwave, kettle and fridge.

Cons:

Some of the communal decor is dated but it's a Tudor type lodge so kind of fits.

I was very surprised at the facilities offered and I was very impressed with the cleanness overall
Pros:

I thought the facilities offered where excellent, a fridge and microwave where supplied in the room along with a kettle, the bathroom and shower were excellent and very modern.

Cons:

I thought the outside appearance could be tidied up a bit.

Our second stay at Merrik Lodge
Pros:

There was nothing to dislike. Close enough to town centre without being noisey and included on site parking at no extra cost. .
We were greeted at reception with a smile. The room was excellent very clean and well appointed and included a kettle microwave and fridge. Bedding was clean everything was clean.

Cons:

Everything was fine.

Nice hotel with very friendly staff.
Pros:

Very friendly staff, room was clean and spacious! Stayed for 2 nights and the room was also cleaned on the full day I spent there, which was a bonus.

Cons:

Was tucked out of the way a bit and got lost trying to find the hotel, but know where it is now so won’t be a problem in the future.

I would not stay here again

Cons:

was extremely disappointed with my stay. I was travelling alone for work and felt very uncomfortable and unsafe during the night. There was significant noise and disruption, with people coming and going and loud activity at around 3am–4am, meaning I got virtually no sleep. It appeared that parts of the property were being used as emergency accommodation, including for asylum seekers, which seemed to contribute to the disruption. For £159 for two nights, I expected a much quieter, safer and more comfortable stay. The hotel and surrounding environment felt very different from what the positive reviews had led me to expect.

Pros:

Located close to Coventry city centre. The room was spacious

Cons:

Dated and not as clean as it could be. The shower tiles were particularly dirty so I didn't use the shower. We only stayed one night so was ok.
