We liked the first room Cyril gave us - eccentric but charming. After we'd unpacked and were resting (3 hours later after an exhausting week sailing) he told us he'd made a mistake and then moved us to a room much, much worse than a Travelodge, Thin sheets made of rayon, a kettle you had to unplug through a hole in the table in order to pour it. Cracks across the wall. A fridge that didn't shut. An air conditioner that wasn't connected to the remote. Furniture made of wire. And they accused ME of disrespect. The reason why he made the mistake was because of the extreme and rampant sexism that permeates these isles. I made the booking but he asked my husband if his name was William. (It is). He ignored me, my booking and my name because I'm a woman - hence he gave us a room for a different William.
The lack of grasping that we should perhaps be compensated for this horrible shock simply didn't permeate. I knew immediately that I wouldn't want to stay and so got him to agree immediately that should we not want to stay 3 nights, we could be refunded. The next day, half-naked by the pool, I caught him walking into the dining room just to confirm that this would be the case if we left the next day. A simple yes or no. He denied he'd agreed to this and tried (half naked) to get me to go to the office, which I refused. There was no sense at all that we might be owed and he did everything in his power to try and control and manipulate me. Because there's no concept of sexism, feedback, accountability or customer service, he simply obviously couldn't listen to me because I'm a woman. I'm quite sure that the default assumption would be that I'm racist. He wouldn't answer me and I wouldn't budge. He shouted over me and I shouted louder. He told my husband he was appalled by MY lack of respect. They don't know the meaning of the word. No one is in at this hotel and it's a study in alienation. 400 years of slavery has left everyone believing that the first sign of conflict is racism while concurrently, the leap towards the equality of the sexes has failed entirely. Also, don't go for the free breakfast. This was seriously the worst breakfast I've ever had in a hotel. Hours old scrambled (?) egg, no prepared fruit, coffee made with tepid water and not allowed to brew, long life orange juice, tasteless tomatoes and margerine that coats the roof of the mouth and can't be removed. They don't lay the tables either. We never got the refund he said he'd put through. Cyril accused us of not paying for our meals (he went and checked at the bar!). We wrote to Jason the manager. He said he'd get back to us. Nothing.
I’ve been coming here for years and brought many friends and family here. (We’re coming with more friends and family in April again.
The views are fantastic, makes the rather bumpy way up more than compensated for.
The staff are as always very friendly and accommodating.
I think the pool sunloungers could really benefit from parasols. ( I’ve mentioned this a few times in my feedback) You just cannot lie on them, because the sun is shining on them all day.
Very good

Trevligt välvårdat hotell trevlig personal
Frukosten var bedrövlig
The location is amazing and I’m sure this hotel was once a hidden gem but sadly its dazzle has long gone.
It’s more “the experience”. I have so many things that I not only didn’t like, but were quite truly Fawlty Towers’esc’
( look it up if you don’t know what I mean!) you then have an idea.

Honestly, everything was awful. There was nothing about this stay that I would consider positive. If you somehow manage to get there before the sun goes down, you might catch a decent view — it was a waste of $147 USD.
Do not stay here.
I booked this hotel because it was advertised as being near the shore. It is not. It is up in the mountains, nowhere remotely close to the beach, and nothing like the impression given when booking. I felt completely tricked and deceived from the start.
The room was unacceptable — clogged shower full of someone else’s hair, broken shower handle that posed as a dangerous hazard due to the protruding metal rod, dirty towels that looked like skid marks of unknown origins, broken, distorted TV speaker, and no phone to contact reception. And the cherry on top, no tissues, napkins or anything to wipe your hands or body with. Basic cleanliness, safety and maintenance were and are clearly not priorities of this hotel.
At check in and checkout, the receptionist seemed like she didn’t want to be there — cold, dismissive, and completely uninterested when I tried to explain the issues. No apology. No accountability. Just indifference.
The most terrifying part of this experience was Glenroy Charles, the shuttle taxi driver of this amazing hotel. He was aggressive & threatening, while driving, looking at me, not the road and yelled that he would throw me out. He was swerving and made me feel completely unsafe. He yelled at me for most of the ride even after I asked him if we could ride in silence. He was accusing me of not paying a $50 USD sir charge for late check out that had been waived by the Hotel Manager because I was completely appalled by the conditions I was forced to stay in.
The night prior, I had every intention on paying this ridiculous fee of $50 (simply to checkout 1.5 hours later), however, upon waking the next morning, I was quickly reminded why I hated this place: the disgusting, make-shift swimming pool of a shower, still hadn't drained due to the past guests' human hair clogging it.
This was a hostile, misleading, and potentially life threatening experience from start to finish. Do not stay here. Booking.
The location with such a view is amazing it's really lovely sitting in the hill so high .
1. So I had ask about Early check in which was approved via the chat I had on here with customer service Representative, as I arrived in Bequia on the ferry like 3hrs early and didn't mind checking in 1 hr early so I ask in advance before coming. On arriving at the hotel that's when I am being told there is a fee of 50USD for the early check in . Mind you I may not of mind paying but it was never mentioned no where in my prior conversations so I was really disappointed with such & didn't get the early check in . Mind you I have book this hotel 2 times on 2 different occasions. I send my ex for his birthday there in Oct 31-Nov1st ,2021 and I had send my sister with her husband for her birthday in December,18th-20th 2021. And now it was my turn after returning home after 5yrs I hope was to have better beginning experience.
2. The bathroom shower is built weird my personal opinion, how can the shower be facing the shower door instead of one of the walls as a normal shower🤔🤔
3. A microwave would be nice in the room my personal opinion. And adding atleast a bottle water in the fridge would be nice instead of an empty fridge.
Think of your customers feedback and consider.
I have went to other places just that majority of my bookings in on AIRBNB. Just sharing my feedback.
The hotel was overall comfortable and clean, even if the room was quite basic and not matching the pictures. The shuttle service to the port was convenient, although the latest one was at 7pm.
The hotel location is quite far from the town center/beaches/ferry port. It is possible to walk up but it takes around one hour.
The complimentary breakfast is quite limited (eggs, bread, juices, cake, yoghurt) and items tend to finish if you visit after 9am. The hotel does not have a restaurant, but food items can be ordered for delivery to the room.
No staff was present at the hotel after around 8pm, and there was anywhere to buy some water/drinks.
The views from the room are majestic!.
