Lovely place nice food and pub area room was first class
No breakfast option Monday to Thursday
Great large parking
Good restaurant
Nice rooms
Location great, cleanliness great, one member of staff v nice
Rooms were extremely cold on arrival. One room booked was labelled a king room with a large bed so assumed this was a king size bed. In actual fact it meant an extra large room. Paid extra for this for a larger bed. V misleading. Reported this to manager on duty who was very attentive and called to say that after the weekend we would get a call and be offered a little compensation. Got no call. Called them a few days later only to be told on no uncertain terms there would be no compensation despite what had previously been said. A little gesture would have been nice after being told to expect one.
Breakfast was lovely. Dinner was okay.
Only spent one night
Everything
The hotel is spotless, the room is huge and spotless too. Shower is a great size.
Staff are so attentive
The food in the restaurant is always amazing
No mini fridge in the room which would be great to put our cold drinks and snacks in
Lovely staff, great staff, thankfully there was a fan in the room as room was fairly hot.
Nothing
Very nice rooms which lots of space. The beds were very comfy. Lovely bar atmosphere and restaurant.
We were given an accessible wet room which I didn’t request so feel that could have been kept free for those who may have needed.
Great modern fresh decor
décor of the place was nice, it was nice and clean, staff were pleasant and fairly helpful lots of parking, facilities in room were ok. room was large
the food in the restaurant was poor for the price, the soup was bland tomato soup with zero taste of basil or anything tbh, it tasted like the tomato base they used for the pizzas, the gnocchi bake was also very poor the gnocchi was hard and tasted of cardboard, the tomato sauce yet again tasted of nothing bland and it was drowned in mozzarella, the bulger wheat salad was dry and hard and lumpy and caked in so much Dill that was all i could taste, the place also has the habit of drowning all the food in masses and masses of salad, even on the gnocchi bake, as if to hide the poor food the pizzas were dry sauce wise and the garlic bread tasted fake processed garlic oil, the dough however was lovely, given the price point for two people over £100 with just one alcoholic drink each, the food was very sub par. Breakfast was none existent, sat down at 9:40 and only had a coffee by 10:20, and so left without food and eat elsewhere, the Monday went for breakfast at 9:30 and the place was locked up. room was too hot and no summer duvet, so either overheat or freeze bed too small, im 5ft 8 and hit my feet on toe board more than once, bed very soft but i like firm bed. given the cost of the room and no breakfast included (which may have been a blessing) it just not good value for money at all.
