the pool, the view, the location, the bed, the vegetation.
The insects inside the room, the mold over the wall, the ac pouring, the curtains are useless, the breakfast is bad, the staff does not speak one world of english (in a 4 star hotel…) and they are not professional. The coffee shop is there but you cannot order anything as they have nothing that’s on the card. they are rude and not helpful.
Pool with sunsest view was amazing!
Well located near every restaurants and 3 minutes walk from the Ferry drop off.
Breakfast was great with différent options.
Restaurant on site is a little pricy compare to restaurant in town. But its convenient when you wanna stay by the pool and dont have to move...
Très bel hôtel qui a dû avoir sa splendeur mais qui tombe en désuétude.Il manque d entretien.
La piscine est belle, propre et bien entretenue.
La vue est magnifique.
La patronne est très très sympathique.
Les 2 premiers jours le petit déjeuner était plus que sommaire : café en poudre, quelques tranches de pastèque, oeufs au plat froids et trop cuits.
Les 2 jours suivants, petit déjeuner pantagruélique, fruits, vrai café, oeufs au plat délicieux, pain

Der Pool war sauber, groß und man konnte von dort den Mekong sehen. Der Terrassenblick der Bungalows auf den Sunset war toll.
Das Personal war unfreundlich, langsam und unaufmerksam.
Es gab keinerlei Einweisung beim Check In. Die teuren Bungalows waren dreckig, teilweise defekt und würden trotz Beschwerde nicht nachgereinigt. Der Tresor war nicht funktionsfähig. Betten waren hart. Das Frühstück war sehr schlecht, Instant Café, wenig Auswahl, keine Brötchen/ Baguette, wurde nur Nachfrage nachgelegt. Am Honig und im Müsli waren Ameisen! Das Geschirr war dreckig.
Es gab keine Auflagen für die Liegen, daher sehr unbequem.

Not sure why this bad r4eveiews, as the staff here were amazing and helpful, the pool is massive and the view of the sunset is superb.
Was a bit worried reading previous reviews however glad to say we really enjoyed our stay here.
Agreed this isn't a 5 star hotel as advertised however if people really think that it's going to be given its location then they being very very naive.
Yes it needs a bit of tlc but really what you expecting ?
We stayed in one of the riverside bungalows and loved it.
Private sunbeds with towels nice touch too.
Very peaceful considering close location to main street in Don Det.
Breakfast was straight forward but no different to a few of the other places we have stayed in Laos and you can get freshly cooked eggs, omelette etc.
Weather was hot so the cold swimming pool was ideal too.
Great views of sunset over the Mekong.
Hotel has its own boat to take you directly to Nakasang pier / village to so you don't have to walk Don Det Pier.
Also need to mention we had no problems with service from the staff either as per previous reviews although there may be a language barrier with some.

Would recommend this hotel.
No ATM on Don Det so places cash in on charging 5 or 6% to change money however when we enquired at reception they wanted to charge in dollars so in theory we were paying 2 exchange fees / commission were as all other places charged in Lao kip
WiFi connection kept dropping out
Piscine très propre. Logement bien placé. Endroit au bord du mekong tres calme coté coucher du soleil. Petit dejeuner copieux. Il ne faut pas s arrêter sur les finitions, on est au laos et sur une ile. Javais peur en lisant les notes a trouver un hotel delabré mais ce n est pas le cas du tout
Le prix élevé pour le pays. 50 euros la nuit pour les bungalows riverside. Le personnel donne l'impression d etre triste
First included in room breakfast what was actually eatable. All other hotels had awful breakfast. Clean. Comfortable beds. Big rooms with balcony. Reception is actually friendly but can’t speak English. Quiet. Can pay with card (+3%) or KIP at exchange 21500!!!! Normally it’s 22000 or places rip you off with 23000
Internet in the room is not good. Hotel in need of repair. Nails sticking out around pool. Pool tiles disintegrating. Internet in room wasn’t working but they sort of fixed it
The location was wonderful, easy to find and just a mini walk from the ferry drop off.
The views over the Mekong islands were beautiful from the breakfast table. Swimming pool was cleaned every morning and was very tranquil.
Staff were delightful.
The shower was initially cold but was sorted out in minutes after reporting it.
The view across the river where you have breakfast. The pool was nice. Room ok.
Building work going on while you had breakfast so it was noisy. Breakfast was haphazard, you had to ask for things and that's ok if you know what's available.
