Room is a little worn in places
Direkt im Geschehen. Wenige Minuten bis zum Wasser. Parkplatz für 5 Pfund am Tag sehr günstig. Super helles Zimmer, modern.
Location: stunning views and great for scenic walks.
Cleanliness was poor. Cobwebs, dust, dead flies on breakfast table. Breakfast was poor quality.
Loved the location.
Unfortunately our room was in need of updating especially the bathroom. There also seemed to be a problem with the toilet with the other room we had which wasn't fully sorted during our stay.
Great location and friendly staff
The carpet was thread bare in places, walls were dirty and one had a patch of paint missing. The shower head was bent at an angle we couldn’t stand underneath it as the water was just hitting the wall (however my husband managed to fix this though as he does maintenance!) and the edges of the shower tray were brown and dirty. The toilet was dirty and stained (limescale remover and bleach would fix this). The whole bathroom needs sealant replacing as well.
I would expect for the hotel to have sealed bottles of drinking water in the room instead of a carafe of tap water in the room. Not only is this more hygienic, it is more in keeping with standard’s most hotels have. Even premier inn’s have bottled water for guests in their rooms.
We paid over £15 for two continental breakfasts and arrived at 8am when the service started. It is the worst breakfast we’ve ever had in any hotel. The croissants and pancakes were dry, the special apple muffins were hard and dry, there were no serving tongs, the toasters weren’t even plugged in. The coffee from the machine was good and the juice was nice. We thought we would perhaps have freshly baked pastries or something similar but this was very disappointing. Two other couples eating at the same time all left some of theirs as well and said it wasn’t good. We heard the staff member say “it was work in progress” to one of them. We thought maybe the hotel was in new hands but turns out it was taken over in 2024 and surely a decent breakfast is the easiest thing to get right?
I paid £263 for a tired and dirty room for one night, which was not the special experience expected and their website certainly does not give the same impression.
Staff, location

All good thank you
The staff were lovely and the location was fantastic
It was a shame that they didn’t offer lunch and supper was only pizzas.
Location was wonderful and the staff was lovely, friendly and really helpful
Breakfast was not included, continental was value for money but the full English very expensive given that the price for the room was also expensive.
Sehr freundliches personal, tolle Lage, super saubere unterkunft.
