A fantastic stay at the Durdle Door hotel over New Year. The staff went above and beyond to ensure an excellent stay. The room was spotless. It was also great that the hotel has a bar and serves pizzas - which we very much enjoyed and didn’t know about prior to our stay.
Our room was quite cold, but the staff went above and beyond to rectify the issue.

Definitely overpriced! The staff did mention they are doing a big refurbishment, however maybe until then lower the price. I was woken up from 4am because you can literally hear every step of other rooms and actual conversations, I could hear other rooms showering and flushing toilets. It was so loud it sounded as if it was in my room.

This hotel is all about location and very expensive for what you actually get,

The location was amazing. Perfect for what we wanted to visit. The staff was really friendly, and the customer service was really good. We did not have breakfast there, I believe they do offer a continental option, but for hot food the reception team gave us some recommendations. They allow us to check in early, which we highly appreciated.
Parking was brilliant for us, just across the street and we paid £10 for 2 days. It is a bit of a walk but it was fine, You can park at the hotel for a quick luggage drop off. We would definitely come back next year, hoping they fixed a few things
Frustratingly low pressure in the shower, and the mattress was not that comfortable. It was sinking, I believe was the divan underneath the mattress broken, which made sleeping not that comfortable. The floor and doors were a little squeaky as well. all this fixed and everything perfect

Price of breakfast. However the selection of continental was excellent.
Th room was very clean and had a lovely view of the bay. The bathroom was clean and nicely designed. The bed was large and comfortable. Plenty of coffee and tea making facilities. Staff were very helpful, leaving the room key outside in the keylock for my late arrival.
The stay would have been great, but after arriving at the property at 0115 I wanted to get as much sleep as possible, but was woken up at 0815 by drilling in the adjacent room/wall, which was really loud. It was very frustrating, as the checkout is very early at 1000, so I couldn't see why this work couldn't have waited until guests had checked out.
The checkout time, as mentioned above, is too early IMO.
The room was really hot, so the option of a fan would have been appreciated.

Rooms and garden need upgrading
An excellent base for exploring Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door. This charming small village offers delicious local food and a truly relaxing atmosphere. It’s the perfect place to unwind and enjoy the tranquillity of a coastal village. There are no commercial shops—just a handful of lovely, independent local businesses.
Very well decorated entrance and public area, and our room, No.1. Great location and sea view. Very good facilities in the room (tea & coffee facilities etc., chairs, desk and table, comfy bed). Excellent staff-Duty manager Scott was polite and friendly, helpful and welcoming, couldn’t have been better. Great location for everything, including parking.
The floor of the room above us creaked a lot from people moving about, and we could also hear them talking, though not clearly.
The toilet flush was sometimes a little awkward to use, and the shower head could have been better.
