Nothing.
Found lots of cockroaches in the room. Room had a funky smell and you could hear the construction noises just beside the hotel. Staff informed us that the water heater is only available in the morning and not 24 hrs.
The staff has been very understanding and they upgraded our room following our needs. The location is out of the touristic area, and you feel like living the real Nepal. Still it is close to Thamel (20 mins walking). I reccomend the Veg Corner just in front of the Hotel, to eat a very good nepali dinner!
Almost nothing
When I arrived at first night, I didn't have hot water. I informed reception, but they did nothing. Then I ordered fried chicken, and that was uncooked, and you could see blood inside the chicken leg.
The next morning, I woke up by brain drilling sound of stone cutting. This noise continues until 4 pm nonstop. I went to the bathroom to take a shower, and water was cutted off.
When I came out of the bathroom, I saw a cockroach on my suitcase. Then I got crazy and packed my stuff, and left this disgusting place.
I strongly every one not to stay in this hotel even for an hour.
The owner was super helpful, gave us much relevant info and helped us arrange many things and you could see that he's a honorable man, told us how to avoid overcharging etc. The reception was open (and accommodating) 24/7. Thank you for a great first experience in Nepal!
Staff was very friendly and helpful. I really enjoyed and recommend this hotel specially Mr Abinash and the staff.
