Lots of character, amazing location for our first time in Sydney
Cool, funky, and in a great position
Liked everything about the property so no negatives here
My wife and I stayed three days in the Velvet Suite to celebrate our weddiing anniversary The decor was spectacular and ranks the most exotic we have ever stayed in. Close proximity to the railway station and nearby bus stops allowed us visit various areas of Sydney and it was an easy walk to Potts Point which has great restaurants, so we did not need a car.

The reception was extremely helpful. The property was
lovely.
Staff were very friendly and accommodating. They have a cat, Miles, who is absolutely lovely and mischievous. The shower water had good pressure and got hot quickly. Bathroom facilities worked well. The location is amazing.
It was really crowded. I almost twisted my ankle (I am physically fit) a few times walking around this property on the ground floor. There are a lot of random steps that are not well marked. Our pillow cases had that damp/musty smell when we first arrived, they changed the cases for us but the smell had infiltrated to the pillows already, we didn’t want to be a bother and ask again late at night for new pillows - it was manageable. The functionality of the room made no sense. For the deluxe queen room, there is a giant, slim closet that you cannot place anything in. There was nowhere to hang our clothes. There is a table taking up space in the room, when there are tables right outside of the room in the corridor. I did not see the point of the table inside. You can hear everything outside. And honestly the decor seemed kind of cheap, apart from the lobby and the grand room behind the lobby. I felt like the cost of the stay did not match the accommodation.

The oldly worldly vibe was cool. The location was good
Advertised as a king size bed but just 2 king singles pushed together so a big ridge down the middle. The room was off a courtyard which just felt weird. No parking & difficult to access with luggage
