Stunning hotel all round. Fantastic staff

We loved our stay here and regret not staying longer! Really well situated near Portree with a view of the famous painted houses during breakfast. The room was very comfortable and clean. And the staff were lovely.
Room service is not available after 8:30

Spacious room. Lovely bar and guest lounge. Absolutely stunning views.
Great location and lovely views.
We stayed here a few years ago and it seems to have lost some of its traditional charm. The breakfast and dinner were average although desserts were below par. The dinner dessert tart base was so hard I had to pick it up because the spoon provided couldn’t cut it. The constant playing of easy listening music in the restaurant also fed into the less than premium feel it used to have but still charges for. The whisky Baba was rubbery. I think the hotel including dining is now very overpriced for the quality. We left a day early because the noise insulation in our room was very poor. We were both kept awake or woken up by guests walking past our room and above us so decided to leave to get a decent nights sleep elsewhere. The noise wasn’t other guests fault it just sounded as if they were in the room with us which included foot steps and talking. There was no point complaining about the noise because they will know about this in the room or location in the hotel we stayed in. I would anticipate the response will be it’s an old building but we didn’t experience it last time, it hasn’t been addressed as part of refurb and regardless of this it affected our sleep.
Enjoyed the layout of the hotel - room with small seating area, bar, lounge, and dining room. The included breakfast service was great and very convenient. Loved the view overlooking the water in the morning light. We ate dinner at hotel both nights of our stay-mussels were a favorite! Charlie and Ella standout staff but all were friendly + well trained! The property was lovely and the birds singing in the morning were beautiful to hear.
Maybe an elevator? (Not truly issue b/c staff assisted with luggage)
