The house needs to be destroyed and rebuilt, hopefully not from the same man that done the refurbishment. Screws and nails coming out the woods, walking on a floor which gives you the feeling of dying. The owner called me at 22 to tell me the light of the living room must stays on at night as some terrorist can enter the home and he needs the cameras. Curflow 22-6, that's medieval joke! It wasn't on my booking page! This is a joke... Been booking member since 2008, well finally I found the worst. Same pricing of the area but you don't need to share one bathroom with 8 people. I cut my leg twice with the homemade horrifying wood works around the bed. For sure the reviews I red before booking this place were fake! This is the case where health and safety enforcement must be called and to file a case with booking app. This is a shame for who is honestly dealing with booking businesses! This place shouldn't be available in public to be booked.

The neighbours at number 14 were nice helpful people, I'll say that. They even made me a cup of coffee and called for a taxi for me back to town.
I do not own a mobile phone.
Arrived on site, rang intercom. Voice told me to go on Booking.com and follow message. There was someone else in the background shouting which made it difficult to hear. Went to neighbouring house, Neighbours kindly loaned me their phone. Logged into Booking.com, could not find any message. Rang the phone number provided. It was the same person as answered the intercom. He refused to speak to me except via Booking.com. I called Booking.com and told them the situation. They contacted the landlord who told them he had left a message on the booking telling me to phone 30min before arrival time. I do not have a phone so could not have made this call. The landlord said that because I did not call he could not accommodate me, although he would offer a refund.
(I later found out he made the request during the day while I was travelling so could not have known. I also found out later I would have needed photo ID.)
I had an event to go to in nearby Blackrod (my reason for the trip) which started at 5pm. I was going to dress up for the event (a fan convention for Marc Bolan and T.Rex.) I was forced to turn up in my travelling clothes and then get changed in the venue Gents Toilet into Glam Rock Clothes (including a shave, hair wash using the hand drier as a hairdryer and applying glittery makeup). At the end of the night I had to go back to the Gents to wash off the makeup and change back into traveling clothes.
I had nowhere to stay so took a cab back to Wigan Town Centre and wandered the streets all night dragging my travelling case alongside me until the first train back to the Midlands at 0912h
