Comfortable, hip boutique hotel within walking distance of shopping and dining.
Pros:

A hip little hotel with comfortable beds, clean cozy atmosphere, and great coffee. It was in a great location with little to no traffic, and within walking distance to shops, restaurants and a seven eleven (which has an atm inside).

Cons:

While I really liked the hotel, I would have preferred to have known about the construction going on across the street (April 2026)... there is the hum of that going on all day including Saturday. It's not the hotel's fault. If you are out during the day, then you'll hardly notice. But if you are planning to stay in the room during the day, maybe inquire about a room on the back side of the hotel. I stayed for a week, and really it was just perfect for the walkable location and comfort. I had a conference call scheduled right before the 11 am checkout and inquired in advance if I could have a little extra time, just 15 minutes in case the call ran over. FYI, if you want a late checkout, there is a strict charge by the hour and there is no flexibility on the matter.

Pros:

Staff were very nice and helpful. My favorite hotel we stayed in Japan ( stayed at 3). Super clean , complimentary snacks in the common area. The bathroom in this place was so nice ! Shower was huge. Only stayed here one night unfortunately. But will be back !

A real oasis in Kyoto
Pros:

Loved it here. Peaceful location but super easy to get everywhere. Exceptional staff, friendly, welcoming and helpful. The lounge area was a great place to rewind after a long day exploring, or for an after dinner beer. Would return in a heartbeat.
Comfy beds, immaculate rooms, the usual amazing Japanese bathrooms.

Cons:

Our room was tiny, but we were expecting this. Our adult kids had a larger twin which was actually quite spacious.

It was fabulous and I would love to stay here again when I next visit Kyoto:)
Pros:

I love the cleanliness of the room and also of the general areas at the lobby. On the days that I did not need the room made up, the hotel staff still delivered clean towels to our door. And when the room was made, there were always new pyjamas and new slippers. The 24-hours free flow of drinks and pastries was a good initiative by the hotel. It helped to ease the occasional sudden urge for a quick hot drink and a hot snack, without having to put on a coat and walk to the convenience store. I also love the decor and the ambiance that give the good modern vibes and brings out the coziness of the place.

Cons:

The laundry room. It felt claustrophobic to be in the room and the ventilation was not so great. There was only one washing machine that takes 30min to wash and one dryer that typically would take 60min to dry the clothes. I had stayed five nights so it was almost impossible on some nights, and even wee hours of the morning, to use either machines.

It was a great place to enjoy Kyoto. Family friendly too.
Pros:

Wonderful shower, soundproofing room, comfortable bed. Good location. Enjoyed the lobby area with music, snacks and games.

The best! Free snacks, the best coffee in town and the msot comfortable lounge. Loved it!!
Pros:

Everything. It has all the standard things like comfortable beds and a good location but what makes this hotel special is the large, very comfortable lounge, the live music they play on the turntable and the free snacks, water and coffee. It was so nice we extended our stay and next time would just stay here and do day trips to Osaka, Nara or other destinations where we stayed in hotels. I recommend this hotel highly.

Fantastic, very clean and well organized.
