What I liked most about staying at Insomnia Kyoto Oike Hotel was its perfect balance of modern comfort and Japanese simplicity. The rooms were beautifully designed, spotlessly clean, and made excellent use of space. The location was ideal, with easy access to Kyoto's temples, shopping streets, restaurants, and public transport while still feeling peaceful and relaxed.

The staff were warm, welcoming, and always happy to help with recommendations and directions. I also appreciated the comfortable beds, quiet atmosphere, and thoughtful amenities that made it easy to unwind after a day of exploring the city. Overall, it was a stylish, convenient, and comfortable base for discovering Kyoto, and I would happily stay there again.

Best hotel we’ve ever stayed in!! The facilities and amenities were so nice. We particularly loved the free pastries, coffee, and juice 24/7 and the free bike rentals. The lounge area was really nice with music playing on vinyl at all hours. The staff were incredible. If we come back to Kyoto, we will stay here for sure!

チェックイン時にボトルをもらうことができ それに水を含めた フリードリンクを入れて部屋に持ち帰ることなどができたことが良い また エントランスフロアに無料のスナックやパン 飲み物があったのがすごく良かった もちろん アルコールもあったよ こっちは 有料だったかな 部屋もとても快適だった バス トイレが別だったのも素晴らしい 独立洗面台 もあった部屋のベッドのマットレスはとても快適で寝やすかった
烏丸 大池の駅からも徒歩数分で 利便性も素晴らしかった
どのスタッフの対応もとてもよく 快適に滞在することができました

i love that you borrow bikes for free anytime , and the coffee and pastries in the lounge all day. atmosphere was fantastic..and the room are sooo beautiful

Loved everything! My only regret is that I didn't stay here longer (They had no availability for the other nights I needed.) Anyway, I'll just look forward to next time. It's less than 3 minutes to the nearest subway exit (Karasuma-Oike Station Exit 2). Lots of restaurants, stores, and cafes nearby. The Manga Museum is less than 5 minutes away, too. The hotel is just beautiful. It has the chillest vibe, has a great selection of vinyl (okay, maybe not the Nickelback one, but I guess the owner likes them), and free food and drinks at the lobby. The room I got was a corner room, and it was exquisite. Super clean, great soundproofing as construction was happening across the street, and I couldn't hear any of it. The shower was fantastic, seriously. It's a wet room, but I think most people will like it. And the staff are just beyond exceptional. The older lady who checked me in (I am so sorry I didn't get her name) was the most professional and accommodating. She went above and beyond, making sure my bag reached the next hotel, gave me all the info, and just made sure I was settled. Definitely one of the best receptions I've gotten from a hotel in Japan. Kyoto itself is overrun (and slightly overhyped), but I wouldn't mind coming back after a long day to the calm and chill vibe of this hotel. Can't wait to go back!

Hotel com uma estrutura ótima, bem localizado e com quartos um pouco maiores do que os convencionais do Japão. Tem uma área com comidinhas, bebidas, jogos e guias pra você aproveitar a cidade da melhor forma possível. Do lado de uma kombini e de restaurantes.

Hall molto ospitale, tanti giochi e tanti salottini dove poter riposare.

Ambiance tres sympa dans le lobby avec café, boissons non alcoolisées et viennoiserie en.libre service. La chambre était très bien agencée et l'emplacement proche de Kazaruma oike très pratique. On peut laisser les bagages si on arrive avant les 15h, ou après le check-out

Hotel is amazing! We loved the selection of drinks and snacks in the lobby. Each night, we would sit in the lobby with a beer and play a board game, which was actually a highlight of our trip.

I really liked this hotel. The lobby has a good vibe with vinyls playing, free hot drinks and pastries.
It’s close to my favourite coffee shop, Kurasu also and the location is great for getting around (few minutes from Karasuma Oike station) while still being peaceful.

Room was also bigger than I expected (relative to usual Japan sizes). Very soundproof too. We were by the elevator which I was worried about, but I didn’t hear anything.

They have 6 first come first serve bikes!

הלובי היה פשוט מצויין, כייף לשהות בו עם מוזיקה ומשחקים, שתיה ומאפים לאורך כל היום, מתאים מאוד למשפחה. חדרים מעולים. מקלחת מצויינת.

Lovely staff, nice lounge area with free coffees, pastries and board games! Loved our room - slept well as it was so comfortable, quiet and dark. Shower was best ever! Great location for everything we wanted to visit. Would recommend!

Interior decor was amazing. Rooms were a decent size and bathrooms were bigger than others I had which was really nice!! Good location right next to a 7/11 and a station with good links for the city!!
