Pros:

Henkilökunta oli erittäin ystävällistä ja saapuessamme meidät otettiin ystävällisesti vastaan.

Aamiainen oli ihan perus paikallinen aamiainen, jota on tämän tason majoituspaikoissa usein.

Huone oli siistissä kunnossa ja suihkusta sai myös lämmintä vettä.

Tuuletin ja ilmastointi toimivat hyvin.

Autolle oli pysäköinti paikka, joka oli ilmeinen.

Cons:

Varauksen yhteydessä saatu osoite ei pitänyt paikkaansa. Osoite oli noin kilometrin verran väärässä paikassa. Tämä on ehkä enemmänkin Google Maps ongelma.

Super nette Familie, exzellentes Preis/Leistungsverhältnis
Pros:

Die Gastfamilie ist super nett und gibt sich unglaublich viel Mühe! Der Sohn hat uns abends zur neuen Riesen-Buddha-Statur gebracht und mit dem Gastvater haben wir abends gespielt. Die Mutter kocht ausgezeichnet und die Tochter hat uns viel über Land und Leute erzählt.

Cons:

Die Matratzen könnten etwas dicker sein.

Cuisine copieuse à un prix abordable.

Très au calme. Le premier matin, sans réveil, je me suis réveillé à 10h

Cons:

Ce n'est pas un défaut, car c'est dit dans la description. Il n'y a pas de WiFi et la 4G est juste. J'ai une puce 5G locale sur mon 2e téléphone, ça passait.

Super vriendelijke mensen die je hartelijk ontvangen en overal mee willen helpen. De locatie is erg rustig en toch dichtbij verschillende mooie attracties in de omgeving.

Cons:

Houd er rekening mee dat er geen warm water is en dat niet alle bedden een klamboe hebben (er zitten wel muggen op de kamer). Maar qua prijs kwaliteitsverhouding is het echt helemaal prima.

Cons:

Although the room was very clean there was a strong chemical smell on the bedding -however we managed this by covering the pillows with our cloths to help us sleep

The shower was cold water only - I would have preferred to pay a bit more to stay if there was hot water particularly for morning showers

The breakfast although large wasn’t that great- we ordered Sri Lankan pancakes which I have had many many times- these ones hardly had any filling and were much too thick

Cheap but quality accommodation
Pros:

Value for money, in fact it was dead cheap.
It was actually a homestay. The family lives there with 2 lovely dogs and cats. They are adorable. Good size rooms, good sized vomfy beds. The owners (husband and wife) were friendly, helpful and polite. They went out and bought playing cards and also ice cubes. We spent the late evening / night in the cabana playing cards. They cooked delicious hoppers for breakfast ( plain, milk and egg hoppers)
They made a lovely dinner as well. Ample parking.

Cons:

No WiFi. No shops in the surrounding.

Super tussenstop
Pros:

We verbleven in The Heaven Sorabora als tussenstop tussen Nuwara Eliya en Dambulla, en we zijn ontzettend blij dat we hiervoor gekozen hebben. Het gezin dat het verblijf uitbaat is supervriendelijk en helpt je met alles wat je nodig hebt. Vooral de vrouw springt eruit: ze doet alles met veel enthousiasme, een warme glimlach en veel expressie. Ze kan geweldig koken, dus eet zeker ter plaatse! Ze gaf ons ook het advies om ’s avonds naar de tempel te gaan en gaf ons de benodigde wierook en bloemen mee om te offeren. Echt een bijzondere en persoonlijke ervaring!

Pasamos una noche para hacer una salida en barco por el lago, y la habitación estaba muy limpia y era muy confortable. La cena fue también muy buena, y el personal super amable. Muy buena relación calidad-precio.

Pros:

Les repas sont très très bons et les moins chers de tout notre séjour. Merci de nous avoir conseillé d'aller voir Rathna Falls, superbe cascade où se baigner et peu fréquentée. C'était agréable également d'aller se baigner avec les locaux dans le canal relié au lac pas loin.

Best place in Sri Lanka
Pros:

The best host in Sri Lanka! We felt as at home!! Food was delicious and huge portions! Room was quiet, comfortable and clean. We planned to stay only one night and finally we stay an extra night. We highly recomended this place!

The place looks exactly like the photos; it was clean and very comfortable. The staff was very welcoming and nice and had made us an incredible dinner and breakfast. I would definitely recommend this place.

Plenty of space. Calm and clean. Lovely people providing warm hospitality making sure you have everyting needed. Food options match all your requirement, and this is home food cooked by beautiful soul. There is a feeling that you live with the family as they are here during the day time.
