Wasn’t able to book breakfast on arrival

I was upgraded but was shocked to the size and facilities for upgrade . No shower gels

Breakfast provision was not good albeit low cost. Fire door wedged open with wooden block. Rooms lacked character and bathroom very small and tight, albeit well equipped. No handrail on steep stair way to rooms 1-4. Two serious safety issues in this small part of the property.

Maybe needed a full length mirror and for it to be in the room not just the bathroom so us ladies can do I hair x

The disabled room we requested for wheelchair user was full of ants. They were over everything we told the staff at reception who sent a cleaner out which ment we were still not able to use the room passed 10pm when we were aloud in the room we wanted to go straight to sleep when we woke up everything was again covered in ants in our bags even in medical equipment. When we spoke to the manager she advised they couldn't offer anything as the disabled room is already an upgrade (clearly needing a disabled access room for a wheelchair is a necessity not upgrade) we have emailed our complaint over and requested a refund but have still not had a reply

The double bed is small, OK for one person, wouldn’t want to share. The bathroom could have done with a shelf and a hook in the back of the door for the towel and toiletries.

It was incredibly hot during our stay and the rooms do not have air conditioning. We stayed in Room 5 (family room) which was dated. The bottom of the divan beds were stained and the whole room needed re-doing. My parents stayed in room 8 which was a much nicer room. We were given 1 very loud fan, which meant that we could not watch the television whilst the fan was on due to lack of plugs! We had to prop the door open overnight to get some draft in! The bathroom was also very dated with a trickle of a shower. We were expecting a little more for the price we paid.

Wasn't told when the room was confirmed that only a bath without shower attachment was in the room (9) and if I wanted a shower I'd have to walk down the corridor. Was told I could leave my luggage before check-in but there was no-one on Reception 12.30-13.30 so arriving at 12.35 I couldn't. Lot of light spill from corridor (auto lights when people moving about and big gap at bottom of door). Noisy other guests directly opposite (had their bedroom door open, although they did close it when asked).

Lack of air conditioning resulted in us sleeping with the windows and door open with fan extracting cold air. It would have been unbearable otherwise.
No shower in Room 8.

Shower pressure very low, but usable.

- no AC in the room but a fan provided and adequate ventilation by opening windows.

Tiny rooms and very costly against other local hotels

Very basic accomodation. The blinds let the light in early in the morning and the staff turning up at 0600-0630 were overly noisy considering they should know they have guests staying.
