We had a comfortable stay and they even arranged for the taxi service.
Pros:

The rooms were spacious and neat. The main attraction of Amritsar, Golden temple was at a walkable distance

Cons:

Please provide small shampoo sachets in the washroom for hair wash as well

Very central, great staff, delicious food and would stay here again.
Pros:

The property was very central with about 8 minute walk to Golden Temple, and plenty eating places nearby. The food was room service only as no restaurant, but the food was absolutely delicious, and big portions too.
All staff were very friendly and helpful.
Our taxi didn’t turn up on the morning we were leaving, the manager tried phoning him but went onto answer machine. However, a rickshaw driver happened to be there so we took that to airport instead.
Would definitely book this hotel again if going back to Amritsar.

Overall a decent hotel near golden temple- value for money
Pros:

Location is very prominent, situated just 5 mins walk to golden temple area. The rooms are neat and clean. Staff is attentive and always smiling to help

Pros:

The manager and team were very accommodating and helpful throughout our stay. Communication was great before our visit with our special request and needs. The location was ideal for our visit to the Golden Temple, especially with such a young family.

Don't believe the past reviews - this is a poorly maintained property.
Pros:

Location was good as it was an easy walk to the Golden Temple.
The staff were helpful and allowed us to extend our checkout time by an hour without any fuss.

Cons:

The hotel is very run down and not in the condition that is advertised on the Booking.com website.
It is also very poorly maintained and not cleaned to a good standard,

A good option to visit Amritsar
Pros:

Hotel Shivaay Grand is a simple structure situated at walking distance from the Golden Temple. The staff has been helpful to solve some issues we had with the room and overall the hotel was clean and comfortable (for Indian Standards).

Cons:

It was good overall. Again, for being in India, they have been able to solve the issues we had with the bed and with hot water, even if the hot water supply is very limited.
