Staff were very friendly, food at the restaurant was decent, shuttle to the beach and boat avenue was reliable and worked well.
Unfortunately this hotel overall was a disappointment. On arrival we discovered that Diamond Resort is semi rented properties so you don't really get a 'resort' feel. We had to walk through a car park to get to our apartment block.
In addition to this, the room we were given looked more like an apartment for rent rather than a hotel room. It had an overly large kitchenette which may have provided some minimal benefit, alas no cutlery or crockery whatsoever was provided! The rest of the room was very small and large bits of furniture got in the way. The balcony was also extremely small.
Although the food in the restaurant was ok if you wanted room service it took way too long. It felt like there was not enough staff or they were too busy focusing on other things.
They have a hotel app which you are encouraged to download when you get there and it works for booking the shuttle service etc. But it is mostly a marketing strategy... I was getting 15 notifications a day where they were trying to up-sell! Perhaps most disappointingly, they were offering 20% off all thai food in the restaurant for the 'stranded' guests due to middle east conflict, and sending a notification for it daily. It's not classy or caring to your guests to use a really stressful situation to try and up-sell in my opinion!
The pool area is extremely narrow with limited seating and gets no sun, I would suggest taking the short shuttle bus to the beach daily for sunbathing and atmosphere.
Ultimately this 'resort' needs to be a resort or rental properties in my opinion. I don't think it makes for a good atmosphere for either type of guest to be lumped with the other. This is a business that heavily cares about profit above customer experience and barely disguises that fact.
If I was to return to Bang Tao beach I would stay at one of the actual resorts on the beach, it's not worth the small bit of money you save by staying here!

Great pool and facilities. Regular, free Shuttle buses were very helpful and reliable. Everything spotlessly clean. The rooms are set out very well. Reception staff - Beer, Smile and Pu are all very helpful and lovely. Nothing is to much trouble. Therd, who is the porter/bellboy is the best and always smiling.
Unfortunately the air conditioning units in the rooms emit a mouldy smell and need cleaning more regularly. I have stayed here twice and have been in 5 different rooms and they all smell very, very bad. So bad, that unfortunately we may consider other options in our future trips.

Sehr schönes Hotel mit einer tollen Pool-Anlage. Unser Zimmer war großzügig geschnitten, modern eingerichtet mit einem tollen Badezimmer. Vorallem sehr sauber. Da das Hotel nicht direkt am Strand lag, gab es aber ein Shuttle-Service zum Strand und auch in die Stadt!
In der Umgebung sind eher wenige Restaurants, jedoch gibt es ein Shuttle-Service in die Innenstadt und zum Strand. Am Strand ist das Essen jedoch deutlich teuer. Und der Strand ist wirklich überlaufen.
Personalet var så hjelpsomme og serviceminded. De hadde god oversikt og informasjonsflyt. Hotellet forøvrig sto til forventningene, og barna elsket bassenget
Balkongen kunne vært litt større, eller det kunne vært mindre møbler der for bedre plass. Knagger på veggene hadde også vært fint.

Worst Thing and why i wasnt happy was the smell in the room. Very moldy 🤮. Im Glad I Just stayed to days here. More days probably would have harmed my health. I can really Not understand how its possible to sleep Here Long. Disgusting Mold smell.
Also the Shuttle is Not reliable. Did Not Pick me Up the Second time. So I Managed on my own. For this price I wouldnt Book it ever again.
To be clear. I definitely blame the Management. Make Sure you are Not having Mold in your rooms.... The Staff and the cleaning Lady did a great Job
The staff at Diamond are amazing and go out of their way to help! Only a short stay wished it was longer

The bed and pillows weren’t most comfortable. Rather expensive hotel overall vs quality but it’s high season, so overall a good option.
