Better local places to stay
Pros:

The town is beautiful and the hotel was close by the local store.

Cons:

The roof of the hotel is terrible and in poor condition causing debris to be everywhere including on your vehicle. I had an issue with my door lock and ended up having to fix it myself due to lack of staff or assistance. When the message was responded to I got a simple the humidity causes issues with the doors and locks. No apology for the inconvenience, lack of response, or a thank you for repairing it. We had to ask for an exchange of towels because no service was given during our entire stay and had to take out our own trash to prevent it from over filling in the tiny bathroom trash can. Hair was also found on the wall of the bathroom in our room. I loved the small town and knew we would be getting an older style room but did not expect it to come with absolutely no service at all.

For an old building, and in a very small town, doing the best they can.
Pros:

Location good. No breakfast offered. Bed was comfortable.

Cons:

Vacuuming not done well. Some small rocks on floor behind door. Dusty around walls. Otherwise bathroom clean, linen, towels clean. Rooms and bathrooms are very small. However I know the motel is old, old and enlarging would reduce numbers of rooms.

Room was not clean.
Pros:

Communicated well with us.

Cons:

The floors were dirty, needed to be vacuumed and swept. There was dirt in the bathroom that needed to be swept. The carpet is old but that’s not the problem. There was dirt and “things” sticking to our socks. Needed a good vacuum. Almost the entire toilet bowl above the water had green mold. It was not this way the last time we stayed there.

Highly recommend avoiding this place. I wouldn't let my worst enemy stay here.
Pros:

Nothing, absolutely terrible. Would highly recommend the staff/owner reevaluate their choices and stop putting profit over an enjoyable experience. The worst place I've ever stayed.

Cons:

Pretty much everything. Ordered a queen, didn't get that. Fan was loaded with dirt. Water faucet was dripping non stop.

Whetstone Lodge is NOT A LODGE but a broken down MOTEL that should be destroyed.

Cons:

The dishonest facade that the company portrays to the PUBLIC.
