Hakuba Alpine Hotel

Amazing vibe. Breakfast was incredible! Traditional Japanese breakfast! I was full for the entire day! Staff were so polite, gracious. Norwegian Olympic team stayed in hotel for 1998 Winter Olympics. Serene peaceful feeling in hotel with traditional wood and Japanese architecture..short 5 mins walk to bus to other resorts. Highly recommend

Happy and friendly service. Great location near to the Happo bus stop and near to the Lawson mini-market. Great Onsen in the hotel. Good boot room for storing skis/boots. Great to be able to get a 916 from the vending machine any time.

Near Happo bus terminal and near convenient store

Mr Maruyama was the most gracious host. Beautiful , well maintained Ryokan with a perfect Onsen. Most convenient location near the Hakuba Bus Terminal which will take u anywhere you need to go in the Hakuba Valley + To and from Nagano

L'hôtel était vraiment charmant, avec une décoration soignée, des espaces détente, un onsen, un espace pour le matériel de ski, micro-ondes à disposition ainsi que des distributeurs de boissons, le personnel était adorable, parlant anglais, le petit déjeuner était délicieux (mix japonais et occidental) et très copieux, notre chambre était spacieuse et les futons très confortables, et surtout l'emplacement était parfait à quelques minutes à pieds de la station Happo one Terminal, du lawson, et du centre ville pour sortir manger, et une dizaine de minutes à pieds également des remontées de la station Happo one donc vraiment parfait. Rien à redire, nous reviendrons dans cet hôtel si nous revenons dans cette station.

Loved that it had a traditional feel to the room and the way our beds were set up. Property was also really close to everything!

The owner was extremely friendly and helped us to store our luggage prior to check-in on the first day. The location was perfect for the Happo One bus terminal and the building itself was very clean and well looked after. The rooms were spacious and towels replaced on a daily basis. The onsen was a bonus. Very happy with our choice to stay here

Location and staff

Great small hotel, beautiful staff and great location. Loved being able to have an onsen after a ski day.

The hotel was in a great location, close to the shuttle bus, train station, restaurants and Lawsons. The staff were traditional, friendly and helpful. The room was larger than expected and the traditional Japanese breakfasts were a highlight. The hotel onsen was a lovely surprise after a big day skiing.

The location is great! just few minutes walk to the Bus Terminal and Lion cafe where you can catch free shuttle buses to various ski resorts. Lawsons is easily accessible and you can grab dinner and drinks anytime. They only provide traditional Japanese breakfast which is excellent. But if this is not your thing, you can walk to Lion Cafe to enjoy a nice breakfast and decent coffee latte. The owner has been running this hotel more than 60 years, and it is a bit sad that they have stopped providing dinner during the winter season. The common areas are lovely where you can enjoy evening time with fam and friends. Onsen is a big plus after skiing in the mountain but be mindful they swap the male and female Onsen occasionally.

The owner of the property did an amazing job in the upkeep of the hotel. Location was central, rooms were clean and food was absolutely delicious.
