Pretending to be a Grand Hotel, but falling behind their own aspiration and international standards
Pros:

- very particular location on a mountain range in the Rugova mountains
- sufficient parking space (for free)
- general friendly attitude of staff
- price level of the restaurant above average but still reasonable
- early check-in made available

Cons:

- My booking.com inquiry concerning the best routing option (Drelaj or Adzovici) remains unanswered, even though it was forwarded several days before my stay at Grand Hotel Belushi. Street conditions in mountaineous Kosovo are a matter of security and therefore a legitimate matter or interest. It is not acceptable for any hotel to ignore a customer's inquiry, but it is all the more inacceptable for a hotel pretending to be a five star grand hotel ('where luxury meets perfection')
- I have found clothes and rubbish of former clients under the mattress. Even though Grand Hotel Belushi instantly removed the leftovers and forwarded its apologies, this is NOT ACCEPTABLE for any hotel of this category (the unspecified prospect of future discounts proves the lack of understanding of the hotel of the severity of the matter)
- WiFi connection often interrupted
- room door cannot be locked from inside the room
- toilet brush in the room broken
- bathrobe with a great tear (15 cm)
- no massage therapist in the spa
- tablectloth in the restaurtant old and worn
- Aperol indicated in the menu at 3.00 EUR (in the receipt 5,50 EUR). Comment: Sorry, prices not up to date. NOT ACCEPTABLE. I pay the prices indicated in the menu. If there is an error, it should be ovious that the hotel bears the consequences of its own faults. This was not the case here.
- panorama section of the hotel is a smoking area. If Grand Hotel Belushi intends to host international guests (particularly travelling with children), they should reflect on offering their panorama view for non-smokers as well.
- Waiter asked, if everything was ok for breakfast. I asked for Eggs Benedict. He asked the chef and the answer was that the chef never prepared it. A free choice of freshly cooked/prepared egg dishes should be standard at five star Grand hotel level. Eggs Benedict are a litmus test for any 5 star hotel
- reception not manned for check-out (vacancy lasting 8 minutes).
