Lindo espacio, super bien decorado y la habitacion tiene lo necesario. El muchacho que nos atendio fue muy amable

El llavin de la puerta del baño no servia del todo y la limpieza del baño podria ser mejor al igual que la limpieza de la piscina

Lovely hosts but in need of TLC
Pros:

The owners are lovely and are great at communicating and helped answer all our questions. They even had beach chairs for us to borrow. The apartment was very clean and spacious. The town of Playa Avellanas has a great surfer vibe and the beach is breathtaking, probably the nicest in Guanacaste.

Cons:

The location of the hotel is misleading, it is much further from the beach than advertised and walking there is impossible as it is about a 30 min walk on an extremely dusty unpaved road. The website of the hotel implies that the beach is 600 m away, but in fact it is much further.

The unit itself is spacious and has comfortable beds and good AC, but is quite rundown, with poorly flushing toilets and no hot water in the shower. The pool area is also very rundown and in need of TLC.

Super recomendado el lugar , todo cerca y las instalaciones de lo mejor.

Todo muy muy bien la atención de Suzanne es de lo mejor , siempre amable y dispuesta , ese dia llegamos mas tarde de lo que teníamos planeado , y ella muy amable nos dio las indicaciones claras para poder ingresar al lugar. La habitación es muy buena , los amenices son geniales y lo mejor , la ropa de cama es de primera calidad que para mi es muy importante , la piscina muy buen y el lugar es muy seguro , la cercanía con la playa es de lo mejor, 100% recomendado. Como punto extra , Suzanne , me indicó que como no tenia huéspedes para cuando hacíamos el check out , que no nos preocupáramos con la salida del lugar , eso fue también un buen detalle.

Cons:

No tengo la mas mínima queja del lugar.

Clean, stylish, cool (temperature and vibe), and very COMFORTABLE
Pros:

Our family of four (our two sons are in their early 20s) really lucked out with this place! We had to change our accommodations last minute after sleeping in a very bug-infested, hot, stuffy, dirty place down in Playa Junquillal. After our night of misery, this place was a dream.
We felt safe with a gated parking area/facility area. It's a small "hotel", which is really nice– I think 12 rooms total (?) all overlooking a lovely pool. It is SUPER clean and stylish and comfortable. I think during the busy season they may have a breakfast option with a little outdoor dining area, but we were there when it was quiet.
Our family "room" was two levels. The downstairs included a big living area, kitchen, small bathroom, big patio, and the upstairs included two bedrooms with closets and a bathroom. The "master" had a comfy king bed (rare find) and a big closet where we could put our suitcases. The other bedroom had two comfortable twin beds. There was room at the top of the stairs to put your suitcases if you needed to. The whole house was air-conditioned, which can make a big difference.
Sue, the host, was fantastic– very kind and easy to communicate with. It is a little ways from the beach, but really only a 10-15 min. walk or 5 min drive (we saw monkeys in the trees on the way there), and there are PLENTY of places to eat around there. The roads are ROUGH in this part of Costa Rica, so be prepared.
Gregorio's and La Purruja were two of our favorites. And the Avellanas Surf Hostel & Cafe down the street from this place made yummy, inexpensive ham and cheese paninis.
I highly recommend staying here!

Cons:

The only two things I might change is to just to add more hooks (or towel bars in bathrooms) to hang up towels and such both downstairs and upstairs, as well as fixing the upstairs bathroom vanity light. Otherwise, I wouldn't change a thing!

Pros:

The hotel was awesome! we loved the pool and all the wildlife. The owners and staff made us feel right at home and took excellent care of us, even helped us find a car to rent while we were there. Cj met us there upon our arrival and was kind enough to take me to a restaurant to get food for my wife and son. 10 out of 10 would recommend! we will definitely be staying here on our next visit to Avellanas.

Cons:

the hotel is about 2 miles from the town proper, I suggest having a car when you come to stay here or anywhere in Avellanes.
