Lovely accommodation and great beach
Pros:

Our unit was nice and clean! Air conditioning in the bedroom for comfortable sleeping. Nice clean pool to take a dip The owner and assistant were both very pleasant and helpful, even lending us beach chairs WiFi was good and there is a TV Five minutes drive to the beach and restaurants. The complex and parking has a gate for security (get the code in advance as there is no internet outside the building). All the roads are rough gravel, but that keeps the crowds down. I would recommend and stay here again.

Nice place and great location, with some service and parking issues

Anthony was very nice. He even lend me a phone charger cause I forgot mine
Room is spacious and well equipped

Cons:

Room #3 had a few issues
- Bathroom door did not fit correctly and had to be forced in and out. It had a broken handle, too.
- WiFi did not reach most of the room, rendering the Smart TV useless, as it was barely getting 1 intermittent bar of signal. It also affected phone usage through the room.
- There were no toiletries upon our arrival. Only a roll of paper that was dangerously close to finished. We had to wait someone to come in the next morning, as there was no personnel after 7pm.
- For some reason, our bathroom mat was drenched when we got there.

Parking space is very cramped when the place is full. People were not good about aligning within the existing spaces.

After 7, the gate opens up with a code and, once it's fully opened, closes after anything goes through (be it a person or another car). It will stop at nothing and I was very close to making that a hard lesson by getting my car hit. Barely avoided it.

Lindo espacio, super bien decorado y la habitacion tiene lo necesario. El muchacho que nos atendio fue muy amable

El llavin de la puerta del baño no servia del todo y la limpieza del baño podria ser mejor al igual que la limpieza de la piscina

Lovely hosts but in need of TLC
Pros:

The owners are lovely and are great at communicating and helped answer all our questions. They even had beach chairs for us to borrow. The apartment was very clean and spacious. The town of Playa Avellanas has a great surfer vibe and the beach is breathtaking, probably the nicest in Guanacaste.

Cons:

The location of the hotel is misleading, it is much further from the beach than advertised and walking there is impossible as it is about a 30 min walk on an extremely dusty unpaved road. The website of the hotel implies that the beach is 600 m away, but in fact it is much further.

The unit itself is spacious and has comfortable beds and good AC, but is quite rundown, with poorly flushing toilets and no hot water in the shower. The pool area is also very rundown and in need of TLC.

Super recomendado el lugar , todo cerca y las instalaciones de lo mejor.

Todo muy muy bien la atención de Suzanne es de lo mejor , siempre amable y dispuesta , ese dia llegamos mas tarde de lo que teníamos planeado , y ella muy amable nos dio las indicaciones claras para poder ingresar al lugar. La habitación es muy buena , los amenices son geniales y lo mejor , la ropa de cama es de primera calidad que para mi es muy importante , la piscina muy buen y el lugar es muy seguro , la cercanía con la playa es de lo mejor, 100% recomendado. Como punto extra , Suzanne , me indicó que como no tenia huéspedes para cuando hacíamos el check out , que no nos preocupáramos con la salida del lugar , eso fue también un buen detalle.

No tengo la mas mínima queja del lugar.
