The place is full of good vibes
The shower wasn't great; the water cut out multiple times.
I enjoyed especially the activities: surf lessons, yoga, family dinner and visit to the temple. This is excellent place especially for a solo traveler. Excellent food in the restaurant and a great place to meet fellow travellers.
Some bugs in the bathroom. Mosquito nets would be good to be in place to keep the insects out.
The staff is so incredibly friendly and they are always there for tips and to answer questions. The food is absolutely delicious there. Such high quality for a good price. They organize yoga, surfing classes but also other things to do together as guests such as dinner plans, going for a drink. The best place to stay in Uluwatu.
Pour un séjour de surf à Uluwatu, il n'y a pas mieux. Le personnel est très sympathique et serviable.
We were very pleased with the design, cleanliness, and location of this resort. We loved the pool and the yoga room. We even played some tennis. The hostess invited us out for sunset drinks and dinner at some local spots we would have missed. The location is great. You can walk to the beach and many great restaurants.
There is no sidewalk on the road to the main road so walking the short distance to all the restaurants and shops can feel rather dangerous. I don’t think they can do much about this…
It seems like a number of people got Bali Belly there. It got to me too on my final day:/ I’m not sure what this is about or what they can do about it.
Bugs everywhere in the room, room wasn’t ready when I arrived after 2pm. I had to wait an extra hour.
Staff removed my unpacked luggage from the room at 11am even tho the check out is at 12pm
No water in the rooms
Very close proximity to beach and some restaurants. You can walk to the nearest beach in 20 mins and restaurants in like 3 mins. It’s a cosy little place that’s fairly basic but if you just want a bed for the night it’s fine.
Lots of bugs. I had loads of ants and millipedes in my room. Had to be moved once but was pretty much the same thing. It’s kinda basic and perhaps would benefit from a face lift (particularly the bathrooms which had some mould).
I stayed this Ulawatu Yoga Resort for 1 night out of 8 booked, I had to negotiate up and down hills – narrow road – continual traffic – motorcycles, cars and occasional the truck, just to walk to the main road. Which is dangerous especially with no street lights at night!
This access was not mentioned in their advertising. Looking at google maps it looks like a short walk to the main road. But check out google street map to see the “real deal”.
I am an experienced SE Asian traveller (20 years). POOR value for money. Only bedroom airconditioned, lounge area – no mosquito screens – no air-conditioning - TV remote not working – my first ever negative feedback.
Moved to Legian – 5-star hotel on the beach - $30/night cheaper with full breakfast - NO Comparison. The 8 days cost around AUD1400, fortunately I can absorb these costs as no refund! But be warned this place is “mutton dressed up as lamb”.
The response to my comments above from the management refers to me being 80 years. (Again, an attempt to deflect my accurate details). They know from my date of birth that I 68 years old. Also very fit, no problems doing the steps to Padang Padang beach – I am very fit! Sure, catch a motorcycle taxi - any health cover insurance would be negated if you have an accident. Just be warned – “mutton dresses up as lamb”
Access poor value for money
Location
Was not good value. We paid resort prices and the accommodation was more like guest house.
Staff was lovely, property was beautiful and tranquil
Activities including meals out in evenings and day activities like yoga and surfing
Loved everything
The property is completely abandoned and looks nothing like in the pictures.
When we arrived we checkin at 12 and the room was not ready so we left to go to the beach and arrived back at the hotel at 8pm and everything was shut down, including the reception. We waited 20minutes, no one answered the phone or told us that this would happen, untill someone showed us to our room.
We had to book this hotel urgently and they were very good with accommodating to our needs. They provided surfing and yoga classes which we highly recommend!
Obviously it was booked last minute so they offered us an adequate room. The space was good but the key wasn’t working so we weren’t able to lock the door
Padang Padang Surf Camp facilities are great, loved the scenery, pool and room. We stayed there for 5 nights and were able to rest after so much hustle getting to checked many of Uluwatu landmarks. Location is amazing closet to everything but still quiet and you feel in the middle of nature.
