Le site est merveilleux avec une vue imprenable sur la montagne, les deux piscines au milieu des rochers sont magnifiques et très agréables ! L'accueil des réceptionnistes et leurs professionnalisme dans la capacité à renseigner et à solutionner les petits soucis, bravo à elles ! Location de scooter très pratique. Restauration dans la rue en dessous et très bon restaurant chinois en ville .
En revanche, le restaurant c'est compliqué...petite carte, pas vraiment bon, souvent fermé alors que l'hôtel est plein. On a l'impression de déranger à chaque fois quon y va ...ils sont en permanence sur leur téléphone...ce matin au petit déjeuner je voulai de l'eau chaude pour diluer mon sachet de café instantanée, le jeune derrière le bar sur son téléphone "5 minutes" ..10 minutes plus tard j'y retourne, il avait oublié car sur son téléphone.... il m'a redis "5 minutes" je suis retourner à ma chambre faire bouillir de l'eau et revenu au restaurant, ça m'a pris 4 minutes ! 12h00 on va à la piscine en passant je demande au restaurant une bouteille d'eau, manifestement ils étaient attablés mais qd même, regard au ciel ( genre il m'emmerde celui là), passe non chalamant derrière le bar, regarde dans le frigo, ah non j'en ai pas . Pas d'excuse, pas de proposition d'aller en chercher . Ma femme est descendu à la réception ou on a bien voulu lui en vendre une ... nous y avons passé 3 nuits tout de même pour la qualité de l'établissement et de la réception. Mais le restaurant de la piscine c'est une catastrophe ! Les napes ont du etre nettoyé pour la dernière fois il y 3 semaines et personnes ne debarrasse, occupé sur le téléphone certainement...on y a mangé 2 fois qd même à défaut car fatigués, la deuxième fois on a enlevé la nappe car elle était vraiment dégueulasse....surprise au petit déjeuner, elle avait été remise en place, dans le même état...Le petit déjeuner pas top non plus ...

What we liked most, & what brought us back to Lotus for a 2nd stay was the amazing, helpful, cheerful Tina! She made our stay! Our bungalow was beautifully clean. We did ask for normal bed linen on our 2nd stay, & not the colourful linen that was very thick & rough, & were grateful for the change. We were grateful to Tina for all her assistance with arranging a motorbike - it was a great bike, & perfect for The Ha Giang Loop! Grateful to Lotus for helmets & storage of our bags while we were on the Loop - a great service!
Although our bungalow was beautifully clean, the public areas - reception, reception toilet, restaurant & restaurant terrace (where breakfast was served), lift areas - were very dirty, & we never saw anyone cleaning them. The dog bit me, & the staff member who witnessed it did nothing. The large pool was clean on our 1st stay, but green & uninviting on our 2nd stay. The dam below the pool was stagnant, smelly & dirty. There was no lighting on the stairs from the 4th floor dining area down & over the rocks & up the stairs to the bungalows, & we saw one guest fall on the rocks. More hooks in the room would have been a welcome addition.

The majority of guests use this property to ‘bookend’ their Ha Giang Loop tours staying one night before and potentially one night after mainly using it to sleep and perhaps swim.
We were unusual and had booked to use the pool and rest for a few days ahead of our own loop tour (which we used a different company so cannot comment on) so the property was extremely quiet between 10.00 and 16.00.
Our room was new, modern and comfortable but walls were not very soundproof.
Tina was fantastic, super friendly, helpful and obliging - she far outshines her colleagues.
We acknowledge that the purpose of our stay was different to most but we found the hospitality element of the property (e.g. food and beverage) to be extremely frustrating. The property has the potential to be excellent but is let down for the following reasons:
It was not possible to purchase cold water on site (nor a refrigerator in the room) it was always stored at room temperature. There was a fridge for other beverages in the ‘restaurant’ but we were frequently told that change was not available (even for small notes) without an alternative solution so we went without… the closest store was also a 15 minute walk away, by the time you return anything your purchase is already warm!
The restaurant menu was limited and uninspiring, we ate once on the first night and the food was okay but we opted to walk 40 minutes into town on our other nights. This may however be being addressed as on our last night a new menu was open on the bar with alternative dishes and drinks available. Breakfast, although included, was also limited and uninspiring.
There is a rather stunning view from the rooftop/sky bar but this was not staffed on any evening of our stay (you could still take drinks up and sit but without lights, music or other guests there was not any atmosphere).
The property boasts an impressive and creative pool design and while we did use this throughout our stay the cleanliness could be improved significantly of both the water and the tiles/terrace around the area.
With the exception of Tina, the rest of the team were dismissive and not particularly helpful. On one occasion, after staying for two nights we requested more toilet roll from reception and were told that the toilet roll was in our room. As with most accommodation in VN, the room was not serviced during your stay which we entirely expected, so it took some explaining before we were begrudgingly supplied an additional roll. Similar was experienced when ordering food and drinks.

Het glas rondom de bar en restaurant zag groen en moet dringend schoongemaakt worden, de vloer in de bar plakte, de kussens van de stoelen waren beschimmeld, de handdoeken roken naar schimmel, het zwembad was vies, de stoelen rond het zwembad waren vuil en hingen vol vogelpoep,...

Personnel charmant et accueillant .Hôtel bien placé pour faire le Ha Giang loop ,l'hôtel le gère très bien et l'organise de 2 à 4 jours. Chambre bien avec vue sur la piscine .
Petit déjeuner et restauration pourraient être améliorés en choix et en qualité d'autant plus que l'hôtel est assez excentré du centre ville .
The staff at Lotus were absolutely incredible - particularly Tina & Sonnie - they were so welcoming, & helpful, nothing was too much for them. Tina helped us book a motorbike & they kept our extra baggage while we did The Ha Giang Loop - for no extra cost! We will definitely be staying with them again once we have completed the Loop! We loved our bungalow, which was clean & comfy, & with a wonderful hot shower. I loved the big pool for early morning & night swims. The breakfast was generous with a wide variety. Tina also recommended a restaurant in Ha Giang that we thoroughly enjoyed.
There was nothing we didn't like, but perhaps some extra lighting on the stairs & rocks from the 4th floor down & up to the bungalows, & on the steps up to the big pool from the bungalows. Perhaps some chairs on the flat rock at the stairs into the big pool. Hooks - travelers love hooks in their rooms. Also would have preferred normal white cotton based bed linen, & not the heavy, coarse fabric which we had.

They only take cash, but they'll wait until you got a chance to go to ATM.
Some strong smells in the room, but the receptionist genuinely tried to move me, but the room offered also had a strong smell. A money compensation was offered, which was a great unexpected gesture.
