A great hotel in a beautiful setting, let down by restaurant experience

The property was clean, comfortable and well-designed.

Cons:

The room was rather hot in the summer heat. We had booked in the hotel restaurant for dinner, but at dinner time the staff were preparing for a wedding the following day and were making a lot of noise blowing up (and bursting) balloons and testing the music system. We decided to head into town instead, but this was inconvenient at short notice. The venue should have closed the restaurant for the evening. Recommendation: ask if the restaurant will be preparing for an event before making a reservation.

Perfect weekend getaway in Netherlands with kids
Pros:

Location is fantastic, 3 minutes walking distance to a beautiful lake perfect for swimming and not crowded. Hotel is surrounded by trees and there are walking routes inn the forest.
