Osaka Ukiyoe Ryokan

Abbiamo soggiornato in una camera da quattro, siamo stati benissimo. L’host e il suo staff ci hanno accolti con calore. Il nostro non è stato un semplice soggiorno, è stato l’incontro con l’essenza della profonda e antica cultura giapponese. Abbiamo soggiornato in una grande camera arredata nello stile tipico del Riokan. Nell’arredo abbiamo apprezzato pezzi di vero antiquariato. Non mancavano tuttavia tutte le comodità come un angolo cucina, una lavatrice con asciugatrice efficientissima. Abbiamo trovato un phon per capelli degno di tale nome e un super specchio da trucco.
Abbiamo potuto, inoltre, conoscere la collezione del nostro host di antiche armature da Samurai e di Kimono. Abbiamo potuto indossarle in un setting fotografico (compreso nel prezzo).
Abbiamo dormito su comodissimi tatami e siamo stati molto bene, avvolti dall’eleganza del contesto. Fuori la metropoli, dentro un tuffo nel Giappone del 1500.

Very comfortable Ryokan with the most amazing hosts. I travel a lot and this kind of friendliness and welcoming I have never experienced before. There were three futon layers per person which made a very good night sleep.

We spent time in many different places throughout Japan, and this ryokan was by far the best place we stayed! The room was even more beautiful than it was in the pictures. It was extremely clean and well kept. But most importantly, the hosts (Ozaki and Yuga) were exceptionally welcoming. Their kindness knew no bounds. They were always there to give us tips on where to eat, or where to go. They gifted us snacks and souvenirs to take home. They even did a photoshoot for us and dressed us in full samurai armor. Looking back at our stay in this ryokan, I have nothing but warm memories. I would definitely stay here again and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to sample genuine Japanese hospitality.

What a wonderful place to spend a few days. Ozaki and his family are the warmest and friendliest hosts you can imagine.
The rooms are absolutely gorgeous with all kinds of authentic art and antiques. The beds are comfortable and there is a bathroom and kitchen as well. Our apartment also had a beautiful tatami room.

Ozaki arranged a photo shoot for us in his studio, with authentic samurai armor for my son and me, and beautiful Iro-Uchikake for my wife. What a lovely way to start our stay in Osaka.

If you’re looking for a unique experience, look no further.

My family loved the Ryokan and it was truly a memorable experience. From start to finish and by far the most hospitable host you’ll ever find in Japan! Ozaki the owner and his assistant Yuga were the kindest people you’ll meet. Japan is beautiful and Ozaki ensured you had all the info you could need. He recommended all the best spots, shared his cultural and historical knowledge, provided travel and logistic support, and even provided special gifts for my sons that couldn’t make the trip. Conveniently located and within walking minutes to a train station that can get you anywhere. Lastly, be sure to take advantage of the free photo shoot where you get the opportunity to wear Samurai armor and/or the beautiful Kimono dresses.

Meeting Ozaki was truly a blessing and I ensure you that you will find his inn the best in town!

This was a beautiful stay - the room is not only comfortable, clean and spacious, but was beautifully unique, artistic and displays a love for Japan's art, culture that makes it a charming and uplifting moment in what can be a busy, hectic travel schedule. The host is wonderful and goes well beyond with service and hospitality.

After visiting Tokyo, Matsumoto, and Kanazawa, this stay in Osaka was easily the highlight of our whole trip. We were here for four nights and it was just an amazing experience.
We chose to sleep on futons for a full Japanese immersion, and the room itself was stunning. It was super comfortable and had everything we needed, including a nice bathroom, a kitchen, a TV, and really good AC.
Our host, Mr. Ozaki, was incredibly helpful and attentive. He and his wife actually drove us to Osaka Castle and helped us get a reservation for an awesome dinner. He also taught us so much about Japanese history. He brought some real historical artifacts, explained the background behind them, and let us check them out. He even took some family photos of us with the items.
The coolest part of the stay was the hour-long photoshoot he organized for us. My wife and daughter got to wear beautiful kimonos, and I dressed up as a samurai. He had a whole green screen setup and gave us touched-up photos of our family standing in front of castles and scenery like ancient lords and ladies. It was such a classy touch.
I don't think I've ever stayed somewhere this nice with so much culture. I highly recommend it!

I’m writing this review to express my gratitude to this ryokan for making our Osaka trip even more comfortable and memorable. As someone who has visited Japan more than 30 times, this was honestly one of the most impressive places I’ve ever stayed.

Interestingly, there was no traditional check-in lobby, but I actually loved that because there was no waiting at all. They were ready and waiting for us when we arrived, and kindly explained everything in detail.

They also gave our family an unforgettable photo session experience, and amazingly, sent us the photos the very next day. Our two children were so happy as well because they prepared thoughtful gifts that perfectly matched each child’s interests.

A special thank you to Yuga for the warm hospitality. The next time we visit Osaka, we will definitely stay at this ryokan again.

Hello we had a warm welcome arriving at the Ryokan : our host were very kind and taking care of us : they ensured that we could sleep well and the additional futons made our experience very good. Then we could benefit from a unique and amazing photo experience in Samurai and Kimono. The costums were beautiful and we could make individual and family photos with weapons. We had a lot of fun to discover so much on the Japanese culture. Big big thank you for this wonderful time in Osaka.

We truly enjoyed our stay at the ryokan. It definately exceeded our expectations because the host Ozaki not only provided us with a comfortable, clean and safe place to stay, but also made our stay special with his kindness and availability. He provided us many tips on where to eat, what to see and gave us an opportunity of a great photo session that created lovely and memorable moments. We recommend this place without hesitation and if we ever go back to Osaka we know where we will stay :0.

Great stay overall. The location was excellent and convenient for getting around. The place was clean, well maintained, and had good facilities that made the stay comfortable. The staff were extremely helpful, responsive, and easy to communicate with throughout.

Everything. Interior is amazing and extremely comfortable, location could not be better (close to the main station in Osaka, easy to get to USJ, Nara, great area with nice restaurants around), the owner Ozaki is a master of hospitality, supper attentive. You also get a lot of perks that make the stay turn into an attraction in itself. Just amazing.
