Quiet, well maintained

Il SIPS Bar è sicuramente la cosa migliore: cocktails buonissimi e dj set.
Servizio pessimo e non al livello di un 5stelle. Lunghissimi tempi di attesa al beach bar e conti sempre sbagliati (ovviamente in eccesso!). Cibo nella media a prezzi decisamente troppo alti. Il personale non parla bene l’inglese e spesso fraintende le ordinazioni, commettendo errori.
Excellent hotel in every aspect. Great location, wonderful service, best staff, I can’t express how happy I am. From Taher at the front desk, Tarik at breakfast, yunus the bellboy and liz the host. They definitely made our stay amazing. Thank you ❤️

the breakfast has very limited menu / beach
The beach is beautiful, peaceful and, importantly, much quieter than some of the other beach clubs around Yalikavak. There is no loud music or feeling of being surrounded by noise and crowds, so we ended up spending most of our time at the hotel’s beach during our stay.
Most of the staff were genuinely lovely, attentive and clearly working very hard to make guests feel welcome.
We stayed in a Standard Deluxe room, which was nicely designed and very comfortable.
The Sips Bar was another highlight. The cocktails were excellent and the team there was particularly attentive and friendly.
The location is also one of the main reasons we chose Ruins. If you are planning to spend time around Yalikavak, Türkbükü or Gölköy, it is very well located. The overall landscaping, architecture and relaxed atmosphere reminded us a little of some of the beautiful hotels in Provence, which we really enjoyed.
The managers and senior members of staff generally speak very good English, although we noticed that some of the waiters and beach staff had difficulty communicating in English. Given the number of international guests staying at the hotel, I think this is something worth paying attention to for next season.
There was also one exception with a member of the beach team, who was repeatedly quite unresponsive and had an unfriendly attitude when we tried to get his attention. This was very much the exception rather than the rule, as the rest of the staff were warm and helpful.We couldn’t help noticing that the wardrobe layout is not particularly well planned - there is quite a lot of wasted space and surprisingly little room for hanging clothes, with a somewhat awkward configuration. Other than that, the room was lovely, clean and well maintained.One thing I would say, particularly for a property positioning itself as luxury, is that luxury really is in the details. The overall experience should feel seamless, from communication and service to the small practical details in the room.
La struttura nel complesso è molto bella, curata e soprattutto pulita. Frequento Bodrum da diversi anni e ho avuto modo di soggiornare in numerosi hotel e resort di lusso della zona, quindi credo di avere un buon termine di paragone.
Gli standard sono sicuramente diversi da quelli a cui siamo abituati in Europa e ci sono alcuni aspetti del servizio e dell’organizzazione che potrebbero essere migliorati, soprattutto considerando il livello a cui la struttura vuole posizionarsi. Detto questo, nel complesso il soggiorno è stato piacevole e la struttura merita una valutazione positiva.
Gli ambienti sono ben tenuti, la pulizia è buona e la location contribuisce sicuramente a rendere piacevole l’esperienza. Con qualche attenzione in più ai dettagli e al servizio potrebbe raggiungere un livello decisamente superiore.
Una piccola pecca, che non considero direttamente legata alla qualità del servizio ma più in generale alla zona, è la lingua: poche persone parlano inglese in maniera fluente e in alcune situazioni la comunicazione può risultare un po’ difficile.
Un altro aspetto che migliorerei riguarda i letti, che personalmente ho trovato poco confortevoli. Sarebbe sufficiente aggiungere un buon topper ai materassi per renderli decisamente più comodi e migliorare molto la qualità del riposo.
Nel complesso, comunque, una buona esperienza
