Really great boutique hotel. Great vibe and atmosphere, cosy feeling (we stayed at the very end of the season). Everything is designed in a thought-through manner, including things like sockets and light switch near the bed. Very well equipped gym. Fantastic breakfast. Attentive and friendly staff. Guest relations team (Liza & Alina) is very professional and incredibly helpful with useful recommendations and various requests we had
Some of the staff do not speak great English, however are always eager to help. Only a minor thing but we always had to ask for water in the room, as it wasn’t provided by default

Great hotel, we’re thrilled! The hotel is beautiful, pleasant and clean. Delicious breakfasts with a great variety of options. The beach is nice and clean, the water is clear, and there’s an excellent pool.
We’d like to especially mention the staff — all the employees were friendly and responsive! We stayed at the hotel in early October; in Bodrum, that’s already the end of the season, so there weren’t as many people as during the peak season — that’s a big plus.
Another thing we’d like to highlight is that there were many cats and kittens living on the hotel grounds, and they interacted with visitors if they wanted to. As cat lovers, we really liked that — it created a pleasant atmosphere when cats would come up to you on the sun lounger to be petted!
The rooms are excellent with very modern and newly renovated interior. However, there isn't enough storage space for clothes. Neither of the two out of three wardrobes had hanging rails, making it impossible use them. Fortunately, the hotel staff resolved the issue by bringing us a separate clothes rack.
Another downside is the shower. It takes quite a long time to adjust the water temperature, as the water initially runs extremely hot, and finding a comfortable temperature can be frustrating. The water pressure also isn’t great, but it’s a common issue in hotels.
Also the staff kept forgetting to restock the drinking water in our room, but this was easily resolved by requesting it via the chat.
However, this didn’t affect the overall impression — we really enjoyed our stay at this hotel, and we’ll definitely come back!
Breakfast was generous and plenty of variety. The landscaping and greenery were attractive and the villas were designed to afford privacy and minimise noise.
Really enjoyed the fitness classes with Ekin - a highlight of our stay.
Pool/beach/breakfast service could have been more efficient. We felt ignored quite a lot of the time, possibly because we weren't ordering expensive drinks!
Cleanliness of the sun loungers was questionable.

Beautiful architecture and interiors, warm and helpful staff, really good food. I'm usually never a fan of buffet breakfast but this one was solid, with fresh and tasty ingredients. The place is calm and serene, but still with energy and great vibes. Oh and adoooooorable cats! : )

We had a really enjoyable stay at Ruins Luxury Resort and would definitely return.
The location is excellent, particularly for access to Yalıkavak Marina, which is only around 10 minutes away by taxi. The marina has a real Dubai-style feel, with plenty of restaurants, shops and nightlife, so the hotel is very well positioned if you want to explore the area as well as relax at the resort.
The hotel itself has a lovely private beach/peninsula area, a very good pool and plenty of sun loungers, and the sea was beautifully clean. We visited towards the end of the season, so the hotel was quieter than it perhaps would be during peak summer, but we actually really enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere.
Being adults-only was a big plus. The guests seemed to be a nice mix of nationalities and generally ranged from their mid/late twenties through to their forties, which gave the hotel a relaxed, grown-up atmosphere without feeling too formal.
The facilities were very good. The gym isn't huge, but it's a perfectly good size for the hotel and had everything we needed. We also had a couples Thai massage in the spa, which was excellent.
The watersports were great fun and the optional drone video was particularly impressive — very professionally produced and a brilliant memory from the trip.
The staff were friendly and accommodating throughout, and room service in particular was excellent.
Overall, I think the hotel represents very good value for money compared with some of the other luxury hotels in the Bodrum area. You get a genuinely high-end experience without necessarily paying some of the extreme prices of the better-known resorts, which also leaves you feeling able to go out and enjoy more of the local area.
The food was really good, and consistently good too, either at breakfast/room service, restaurant or from the sun loungers.
We had a brilliant holiday and would happily stay here again.
Given the age range and style of guests, I think the hotel could perhaps create a little more atmosphere around the pool or beach for part of the day — maybe with slightly more upbeat music or a DJ during a defined afternoon period. There is obviously a balance to strike, because the peace and tranquillity is also one of the hotel’s strengths, but I think there is an opportunity to offer a little more of both.
The watersports were very good, although perhaps slightly expensive. I appreciate that they appear to be operated independently from the hotel, but I suspect more guests would make use of them if the pricing was a little lower.
It was also a shame that Sips Bar had closed for the season on the evening we arrived, although completely understandable given that we were visiting towards the end of the summer season.
The nearby Villa Beach Resort is only a few minutes’ walk away and offers a livelier beach-party atmosphere during the day. Given that Ruins is adults-only and attracts a relatively young international crowd, I do think there is possibly an opportunity for the hotel to develop its own beach offering a little further and create a similar experience for part of the day. For me, that was probably the only real trick the hotel was missing.
Everything else about the hotel was genuinely exceptional for the price point. I really hope that value proposition doesn’t change, because I think it is one of the things that sets Ruins apart from some of the other luxury hotels in the Bodrum area.
