Watch birds while enjoying breakfast in the cloud forest!
Pros:

The location! Set along the Rio Quijos, nestled in the cloud forest, the lodge is quiet and offers trails and birdwatching opportunities. Delicious breakfast with amazing views of birds flitting around.

Cons:

Nothing! A beautiful, clean lodge with helpful staff!

Clean and comfortable accommodation for bird lovers
Pros:

Clean, comfortable and spacious accommodation in a great location. Good hot shower. Good food. The best part was the incredible bird life all around - especially entertaining at breakfast time.

Cons:

Nothing to dislike. We have booked another stay.

Diese Unterkunft eignet sich hervorragend für Vogelbeobachter, aber auch für Cayaking! Die Lage ist paradiesisch!
Pros:

Es hat uns sehr gefallen. Die Lage der Lodge ist hervorragend. Das Personal ist ausgesprochen freundlich. Die Athmosphöre ist familiär und das Essen aussergewöhnlich gut. Die Zimmer sind grosszügig und sauber.

Brilliant place to visit, the food is amazing do not hesitate in booking this place you will not regret it

The location is excellent, the staff are excellent and the food is delicious, highly recommend if you are interested in birds as it has excellent feeders on the patio and torrent duck on the river

The location is very special. I long for the sound of the river and the birds!
The staff is exceptional. They were helpful, kind and knowledgeable.
They helped us experience the birds in ways I would have not imagined.

Superb
Pros:

Our stay at Rio Quijos Eco Lodge was comfortable and pleasant. The grounds are beautiful with a lot of nature trails and opportunities to relax in the outdoors. The staff was kind and helpful and the food served for breakfast (included with the stay) and dinner (added to the bill at checkout) was delicious with dinner served in courses. The Rio Quijos area near El Chaco is beautiful with green, striking landscapes and plenty of birds for those seeking out feathers friends. The lodge brings the birds to the dining area with feeders, adding to the ambience.

Cons:

Having a room surrounded by metal roofs made conditions extremely loud during a heavy rainstorm at night.

Best lodge in all of Ecuador
Pros:

I liked absolutely everything about Rio Quijos EcoLodge...I would rate it as the best lodge in all of Ecuador...better than all the expensive lodges...very reasonably priced...fabulous birdwatching, hiking trails, beautiful grounds with splendid flowers and gardens, the main lodge, dining area and rooms are all immaculately clean and charming ...the meals are absolutely delicious, healthy, variety, ...best food in all of Ecuador for sure
The staff is so welcoming, kind, hard working, accommodating, genuine and happy. The owner Angel made us feel at home...like family..not only an expert birder, photographer...but a gentle, easy going character with a delightful sense of humor
Both Angel and his bird guide friend, Omar gave us several days of excellence bird watching...helped us discover endless new species, lifers, and had us laughing and having a grand time. We loved their dog, Kimchee...the most gentle, sweet, caring perro and trail guide...
I can't recommend anyone and everyone,families, couples, bird lovers, individuals, white water paddlers or just looking for a peaceful nature get away...Rio Quijos has it all... A five star lodge with very reasonable rates

Cons:

I didn't like that I couldn't stay there longer...next time i will stay for at least a week. .three nights was not nearly enough

Superb
Pros:

Very friendly staff, nice room and breakfast. Fun place to relax and enjoy birds. Other birding venues nearby. If I'm ever in the area again, that's where I'll stay.

Cons:

Nothing not to like! It was all great.

The best lodging in Borja, I didn't know about..
Pros:

The staff was great. Jhoumy who was the lead is very caring and customer service oriented.
The rooms, are very clean. The meals were very delicious, muy rico, as they say in Spanish.
The hiking, paths, river with beach, sauna and watching birds while having breakfast were icing on the cake.

Cons:

I didn't like that I stayed so short. The next time, I'll stay longer, since I liked everything.
