This place doesn't even live up to the phrase, "You get what you pay for". The room was basic with a TV that didn't work, the batteries on the remote were held in by electrial tape. The walls were simply painted plaster and it had more cracks than cracked paving. The aerial wire for the TV was just hanging from the wall. The bathroom was tiny, and I shared it with a spider. Fire safety doesn't exist in this hotel as fire doors (questionable at best) were propped open with door wedges, despite signs saying they must be kept closed. The room had more cobwebs, and most of the communal areas looked like they hadn't seen a duster or polish since the building was first built. The windows to the room also had what looked like mould growing on them, although it is not clear in my photo.
From start to finish the staff was amazing, Ralph always made the effort to interact and went out of his way to make us feel comfortable, the breakfast was outstanding (especially the eggs) and he even made our little girl welcome, thank you so much for making our holiday enjoyable especially at the new promenade hotel.
Few issues there was a plug hanging off the wall also the door handdle fell off , and the breakfast wasnt cooked
Nothing like photos shown on website, Stinky corridors, no toiletries in bathroom, rude staff, No fan provided in the room, very noisy street, charges £10 for unreserved parking, however the parking is free on back street (its a joke).
Food and service, very good 👍 couldn't do enough for you would return
Smells awful, like a public toilet. Shower didnt work, fluctuating pressure and temperature, from no flown and freezing cold to burning hot in a second... the guy "fixed" it which made very minimal difference, but I didnt have the heart, energy or will to argue with him about it. I tried to get a drink at the bar on several occasions but there was NEVER anyone there. Emergency exit used as smoking area for "staff" stinks the whole building out, which I suppose is a welcome break from the smell of toilet. The constant noise was unbarable, from inside and out, window didnt close properly and both lamps in room were broken and to top it all off nobody there when checking out... For the price, I was expecting something better, as you can easily find much better in the area for the same or less.
Friendly staff, really good location, would recommend
too much clumsy. not worth for the price paid
stopped on the top floor in a twin room, bit cold maybe a bit dated and slightly dusty,tv and tea and coffee maker in room only stopped for one night as we went to see a Michael Jackson tribute actso nothing to bad ,not to bad for the money
Admittedly we didn’t arrive until 9pm, but we didn’t expect to have to phone to gain access to the hotel.
I requested a sea view if possible but was told there weren’t any available, yet the following morning at breakfast there seemed to be only 5 people in the hotel.
The front of the hotel looked like it could do with a bit of a spruce up, front door handle broken etc, just didn’t give a welcoming appearance at all, so much so, my partner & I stayed for only 1 of our 3 nights, moving on to another hotel for the remaining 2.
Easy check in, parking on site (with a charge) massive room
Not great value for money. Would of been angry if id paid more. Very small room with very inadequate facilities
Great friendly place to stay. Thank you.
Hotel was basic, clean, small room. Staff were friendly
Positives- staff very friendly, bar area nice, dining room nice with a very nice breakfast. Check in/out no problems.
Negatives- Family room on top floor room 1 asked for lower floor due to wifes poor mobility was asked to pay £300 extra due to being a 6 bed room ( did not take this up and struggled on) . Rooms and stairs need a good update and better organisation of room space. Room cleaned but could be better. Bathroom fittings need replacing.
Worst hotel room I have ever stayed in. Cable wire but no tv. Wall paper hanging off. Couldn't take a shower because of exposed wires hanging out of the system. A towel rail covered in rust that was unusable. Drawers that were so disgusting it was not worth unpacking your clothes. Hotels.com failed massive on this one.
Excellent location very nice host
Excellent parking space
Just room was too small and we had to shut windows on a very hot night due to being on ground level on side street .
Would definitely stay again but on a higher level so as we can open windows.
Basic hotel , clean , friendly staff but tired and in need of updating. Good breakfast options served speedily .
Better than I expected from a cheap hotel in Blackpool. Service was excellent. Room was clean and had facilities I needed for a few nights. Breakfast was good. Big bar area. Would stay here again.
Breakfast nice, staff pleasant, Hotel needs a lot of tlc
