Hotel was close to event but such a hassle to go to another location for keys & then codes.
Pros:

Close to the downtown & beach

Cons:

All the running around to get your keys to get to & into the hotel. Would be so easy just to have a clerk at the front desk. Thats the only reason we're not sure if we'll be coming to the Island House hotel again. It was like some type of scavenger hunt 🥺

Stay here if you want to be close to everything in Port Clinton!
Pros:

Overall, our stay went well after we were given the better room.
Pros:

I picked this location because of the proximity to the ferry to put in bay. When we had problem with the room, It was corrected quickly. The new room was much nicer

Cons:

There was no one at the reception desk the whole time we were there. We had to go to the other property to get our issue resolved. The issue was, I paid for a suite and got a closet with a bed and bathroom in it.

Don’t waste your time
Pros:

After you book and pay you find out it’s no longer a hotel. You have to go 2 blocks up the road to get your check in packet. Then when you get back the key fogs to get in the building don’t work. You have to bang on the door and hope someone inside staying there hears you and let you in. Or wait for simmering leaving to let you in. I called the property management company 4 times, left a message…. No one ever called or messaged back. The door wasn’t being fixed until we were checking out over 12 hours later!

The keys didn’t work and no one answered

Pros:

The vibe and location. The one staff person I talked to was excellent over the phone. Mike was very helpful and answered all my questions, provided input regarding the area and made sure we were all set upon arrival.

We did not get the room we requested and there was no one onsite to help us.
Cons:

I requested a queen duplex, my understanding was there was supposed to be 2 queen beds and we only had one full size bed. So we had to make other accommodations for my daughter to stay with a friend because she had no where to sleep.
