Great hotel with stunning views meals were exceptional so were the staff
Loved it all
Great views from front terrace
Finishes in room poor plus overall layout of furniture not really thought through . Television up high above a mirror??? Curtains in bathroom almost see through.
The breakfast was excellent. The food in the restaurant was hit or miss. The staff were excellent and the customer service was top notch. The location was very good.
Our room was pokey, did not have a window, except via the ensuite. The food was mostly bland and uninspiring.
The hotel was in a good position. The staff were lovely and helpful. Coffee, tea and water replenished each day
The Douglas room was blah. I huge black chair which legs didn't look stable a large glass table with 4 stools underneath (ridiculous ). There was s very large monster munch crisp underneath the black chair too.And what looked like a massive stage with a roll top bath in the middle. No shower. There was a shower head in the bath but the water went everywhere.
Restaurant food wasn't to my taste so that was my problem there. Bar didn't have either bottled or on tap cider also no nuts just crisps. The room needed a fresh coat off paint and the stage area tacky
Not the first time we have visited, but the first time staying over. Room, service, food all excellent.
Nothing to dislike, great place.
Views and staff, had a wonderful chilled stay.

We loved the ambience the setting and the comfort
The small window in the room wouldn’t open
Location
The beds were flimsy would have expected better quality for the price per night.
Tiles in the bathroom were rocking and no pressure in the shower .
Some bugs in the toilet .
Nice old building with lots of character
The very steep hill to access the hotel and also no lift
Lovely food
Great location and views, room very nice and food excellent
