Very nice boutique hotel. Staff were very welcoming. Food excellent. Great view from front bedroom window. Overall a very comfortable stay for 2 nights. Would definitely return.
Would've liked a walk in shower rather than the roll top bath.
The view from the room
Never a 4-star hotel, it’s actually bewildering how they’ve managed to get that rating. I’ve stayed in MUCH better 3 star hotels. Rooms were filthy, One member of staff ruined the whole stay, male receptionist who I’m assuming is also some sort of manager, was completely useless and unprofessional. Never experienced such poor service in any hotel I’ve stayed at before including hostels. My partner and I were there for two hours and already wanted to just leave and go home. We felt so unwelcome. Beyond furious with the experience! Do yourselves a favour and stay at any other hotel in the area, you will save money and have a much better experience. This place is not worthy of any custom.
Amazing views. Fridge in room
Wallpaper falling off walls. Dust everywhere. Sofa in front of window,we had to clean to sit down. Carpet in a bad way. In toilet, shower in bath falling apart. Toilet seat sitting next to toilet and remaining seat ready to fall off. Advertise as wedding venue and our room as one of the suites. God help them if anyone books this for a weeding. Breakfast served from nine till ten. Far to late for that. Could go on , but such a shame considering the increadible views. We booked for two nights, left after one. Didn’t have breakfast. It was to late.
Breakfast was fine
The smell from the kitchen found its way into our room via the hot water tank in the cupboard by the bed
The bathroom door did not shut properly as a result it banged throughout the night
There were loose tiles in front of the bath
we had a great stay at the Mount Stewart hotel. We will definitely be back
Amazing location with fab views, staff were fantastic
Very good choice really nice and helpful staff sea views amazing .
Can’t say I disliked anything.
We know Portpatrick well but it was the first stay in the Mount Stewart Hotel. The rooms were absolutely fine, The staff were excellent but above all the food was great. We have already booked up for next year.
Nothing
Very good breakfast. I found parking a little difficult but managed reversing out!
A warning about the tiles in the Douglas room, they are very slippery when wet.
Wonderful location and stunning view from our top bedroom across the Irish Sea, we could see Ireland.
Our bathroom was cold because the radiator wasn’t working.
The food was not ok but not great.
NA
The property itself looked nice from the outside.
On stepping into the property there was an overpowering bad smell of mixed cooking that clung in the air and permeated into the bedroom.
The bedroom was cold.
The bathroom was dirty, cobwebs in the ceiling and light fitting, the paintwork on the walls was damaged and peeling.
There was no proper shower facility, the room having only a bath.
The EV charge point advertised didn’t work.
I had booked for breakfast in advance. On checking in I was advised that breakfast wouldn’t commence until 930am as that’s when people came in. I highlighted I required to leave prior to then. I was told they would look into see if something could be done to give me something and revert to me. No one reverted and no breakfast provided notwithstanding same being paid for.
Staff were excellent.
Decor was fresh and quirky
breakfast was hot and Scottish breakfast very good
pancake breakfast was a bit disappointing as pancakes were from a packet and reheated instead of freshly cooked
Hot drinks machine took some trial and error moves. Couldn’t find decaf coffee but probably was there somewhere.
Ideal location with great views across the sea to Northern Ireland.
Comfortable bar and restaurant area.
Happy and attentive staff.
Bathroom was a wee bit on the drafty side.
Lovely stand alone bath but no facility to shower / attach shower head to.
Location, food excellent as always, great service, very friendly staff 👍
