Pros:

Un hotel céntrico pero tranquilo, en un bonito edificio de principios del siglo XX. Solo pasamos allí una noche después de un largo vuelo. El personal fue muy amable estuvo dispuesto a prepararnos fruta para que pudiéramos comer algo a nuestra llegada.

Pros:

Le personnel est accueillant et très sympathique, les chambres propres et spacieuses. Le décor et le patio sont magnifiques.

Cons:

Le parking est un peu loin de l'hôtel, décharger les bagages en bordure d'une grande route est super dangeureux, surtout avec des enfants.
Nous avons attendu 45 minutes pour avoir notre petit déjeuner en salle (2 toasts et 1 omelette)... pas cool !

Great value friendly hotel in San Jose
Pros:

Friendly helpful staff. Thanks to Marvin and the team.

Clean rooms, good breakfast, lovely courtyard garden.
We liked the location as it was between Parque Sabana/art gallery and the city centre, which was 20-30 mins walk away. Some may prefer a location a little closer to the centre.
Pali supermarket for essentials close by

Great staff. Charming hotel that needs a lot of updating.
Pros:

Staff are super friendly and attentive. Genuinely lovely people. They serve a decent breakfast in the morning and its a centrally located hotel.

Cons:

It really needs some major updating. Part of the charm of this hotel is that its very old but when I got there, there was a leak in the bathroom which meant there was water on the floor. I had to move to another room and then move back to that original room once that issue was fixed. (It unfortunately didn't get fixed but the staff were very attentive!)

Some of the staff, especially Chris, were very helpful and easy to communicate with.
Pros:

The Victorian Hotel is a beautiful historic house which has maintained much of its original style and elegance.

Cons:

The parking is a couple blocks away and there the dining areas are not all comfortable and accessible if it has rained.

Le petit déjeuner la taille et le confort de la chambre

Cons:

Me faire voler mon appareil photo dans mes affaires mises en bagagerie Le manque de réaction de l'établissement sur cette affaire d'autant plus que la personne qui a commis ce délit ne doit pas être à son coup d'essai. Il y avait peu de personnel le dimanche 15 février au matin il ne doit pas être bien difficile de cerner le coupable.

Nuit courte et bruyante
Pros:

J aime beaucoup cet hôtel pour son charme . Le personnel a été extraordinairement gentil et attentionné . Malheureusement la chambre n est pas insonorisée et je n ai pas pu dormir avant que les clients du dessus se calme . Donc le conseil est : ne prenez pas une chambre au rez de chaussée mais à l étage
Il y a un très bon resto argentin dans le quartier

Pros:

The staff were amazing. Location is great for walking to all the attractions in San Jose city. Our room was so lovely. The outdoor areas at this hotel are a huge bonus.

Situation idéale pour visiter le centre de San José
Pros:

A 30 minutes des deux musées de jade et de l'or et 20 min du marché donc idéal à pieds. Le petit déjeuner est agréable. La chambre donnant sur le patio était calme. On a pu laisser la voiture sous surveillance au parking le lendemain jusqu'à 15h avant de partir à l'aéroport.

Cons:

Le parking n'est pas sur place, on laisse ses bagages puis on rejoint le parking public situé à 500m environ (2 blocs plus haut) mais à 5 minutes à pieds.

Pros:

The staff are very helpful and friendly. We had the king sized bed in the room with a small patio. Our room was very clean and large. The air conditioning worked well and the shower had very good water presure.
The street noise was not bad perhaps because our room was at the back of the hotel. Bed was cofortable. The price was very reasonable.
The breakfast was very good. Fresh papaya, pine apple, and watermellon! The eggs were delicious! Everything was very fresh. Very good coffee and orange juice.
Free parking was included at a secure, small parking lot about 300 foot walk from the hotel. Secure parking as very important!
The location is between the historic downtown and the metrpolitain sabana park., which is ok.
