The stuff was exceptionally nice, the rooms are spacious and lovely prepared. The room with a bath (view on garden wall) was magical. Loved it! Really helped us dive into Kyoto natural and peaceful vibe.
The only thing I’d consider is better catering for vegan/vegetarian options in breakfast menu.
Direkt am Fluss und schönem Innendesign. Es hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Die zentrale Lage ist ebenfalls sehr gut.

Location
I booked months in advance but i got a room with blacked-out windows, on a low floor looking on a side street. I could hear the noises from the road as the acoustic insulation was not good. I asked to change the rooms but I was told the hotel was fully booked. I know for sure the hotel had rooms looking on the internal garden but no effort was made to give me one and I do not believe they were all talen. I suspect the hotel penalises reservations made in booking.com in favour of bookings made directly with the hotel. I spent a lot of money for the room but I did not receive a fair treatment
Das Personal war sehr freundlich und das Zimmer hatte eine tolle Badewanne und eine kleine Sitzecke. Wir haben nur eine Nacht hier verbracht weil wir dann weiter gereist sind. Mit 4 Koffern wäre das Zimmer auf Dauer etwas klein gewesen. Das Frühstück ist typisch japanisch mit vielen warmen Speisen. Wir waren zufrieden mit allem. Koffer konnten wir vor und nach unserem Aufenthalt unterstellen :)
The location is amazing, it’s really easy to have nice strolls next to the river at anytime of the day. There are also subway stations for two separate lines nearby which is really convenient and lots of food options around. The staff were lovely as well and the room was really comfortable.

Beautiful building, Rooms were quite and clean.
Very expensive bar. Location was ok but still a 900m walk to the train station, farther to the bullet train.
Hotel is in a great location and great value for money. Beds were comfortable and the large tub was a bonus!
