We really enjoyed our stay. The beds were comfy. Staff were friendly and accomodating. Great bath!
Pros:

Convenient location, close to restaurants and bars

Cons:

I would have loved to book the rooms with "river views", but they were much more expensive unfortunately, in my opinion.
The "garden wall" view was nice, but because it's winter, the plants were sparse and not flourishing (which is fine, just my observation)

Amazing location for comfortable stay
Pros:

Amazing location with views over the river and close to Pontocho Alley. Close to trains and buses.
Staff friendly and helpful.

Pros:

One of the nicest hotels I've stayed in. The suite we stayed in was at the corner and looked down on the Kamo river and north towards Mt. Hiei. The breakfast was also really good!

Good location, but the hotel needs updating. I wouldn’t stay here again.
Pros:

Nice bathroom and hotel breakfast was excellent.

Cons:

Worn/broken, outdated furnishings. Closet wouldn’t stay shut. Not thoroughly cleaned. I found a used tattoo cover on the sofa. The bed was hard as a rock.

Wonderful location in Kyoto, Perfect for morning walks by the river.
Pros:

Room was beautiful and spacious. lots of extra toiletries were provided in the lobby. location to the river was lovely. Onsen was great as well. Staff was pleasant and accommodating. Beds were comfortable.

Cons:

Difficult to use the coin laundry, since other guests would leave their clothes in for extended periods of time after cycle completion. Not the hotel's fault. Just unfortunate behavior from other guests. Minimal hanging space to dry laundry in the room.
