A clean and comfortable villa with a helpful host, great amenities, and a charming location near nature and the beach.
Pros:

The villa is clean and tidy, with six rooms across three floors (the first floor is currently closed). I rented a room on the second floor, and it was perfect. Room cleaning is done weekly, and the villa's owner is very friendly and always ready to help.

The villa is located about 1.5 km from the beach, and the walk there is delightful—you can spot peacocks, squirrels, monkeys, and monitor lizards along the way. The owner also has a bike and a tuk-tuk available for hire at an additional cost, making it easy to get anywhere you need.

The internet connection is reliable, and if it runs out, you can contact the owner, and they will promptly top it up. Occasionally, you can even see monkeys right near the villa! The room had everything I needed, making my stay very comfortable.

The villa is so well-designed that the entry of unwanted large insects or small animals is almost impossible—as long as you keep the doors closed, of course.

This is a wonderful place to stay, and I highly recommend it for anyone looking to rent a room. I hope to visit this villa again in the future. Thank you! 😊

Pros:

Monkey Island is surrounded by nature, animals, birds, and beautiful views. The villa is located inland away from busy streets but within walking distance to the beach, cafes, restaurants and shops. The family owners are generous and always on hand if you need anything, but otherwise you're left to relax and enjoy your stay. This is a great place to stay long-term with fast wifi and fully equipped kitchen. The beds are super comfortable and the rooms are big, bright, and spacious. Highly recommend this place to explore Hikkaduwa and the south of Sri Lanka 🇱🇰.
