I wouldn’t stay here again or recommend it.
Pros:

Close to train and shopping

Cons:

Bad smell in the room and bathroom. Bath too small. Pillows very uncomfortable. No room facilities ie kettle, cups.

Cons:

Very disappointing experience at Hotel Saint Gothard. There was a clear lack of transparency regarding breakfast. At check-in, it was not clearly explained that breakfast was not included, but at checkout I was asked to pay for it and felt pressured, which was very uncomfortable.

The bathroom was in poor condition — extremely small and not properly cleaned, which did not meet basic hygiene standards.

The noise level was also very high. I could clearly hear sounds from other rooms, making it difficult to relax or sleep.

Definitely not glamorous but did the job
Pros:

Unfortunately the lowlight of our trip and probably wouldn’t recommend unless you really need a budget option in Nice city (close to Nice-Ville station). A warning that walls are paper thin and unfortunately we had a distressing first night as we could hear inappropriate noise from disrespectful neighbours including moaning and talking for hours around 1am and we could not sleep even after yelling at them to stop. We are still traumatised. After contacting the hotel staff, they accommodated by moving us to a different room the next day. This room was slightly better as it wasn’t close to the street so much quieter, but we could still hear rooms next door (e.g. loud music being played late and people in the corridors). Wifi does not work properly, rooms are small and poorly lit and we also had ants in our bathroom.

Positives was that it was very close to Nice-ville station, can get rooms cleaned daily and hotel staff were friendly.

Location is close to Nice-ville station but not a nice area, would definitely prefer old Nice if we had our time again

Great value
Pros:

This hotel is exactly as it shows there are no surprises. We had one of the corner rooms which have more space and 2 windows with a balcony .the bathroom is a really good size . Beds very comfortable .location is great as close to the train station .

Cons:

Only things to mention here would be the shower needed to be adjusted constantly as it went from hot to cold frequently however there was always hot water. The tv is old and no option to screenshare so we couldn't watch a movie in english .
