Interesting
Pros:

This is not ow a hotel should be run.
Set on a semi gravel street,no parking, near parking is on a public square not too close,if you have lots of baggage stop first in front off the hotel, but first check your room, shabby, noisy rooms,to get there you go past the reception true a want to be dining room up the stairs,it’s like a dungeon, please look some where better than this especially if you are a older person.Ps.we where there in somer and there is dining, room service,or fridge in the room. The breakfast it’s an experience .

Shabby, dysfunctional furniture, worst sleep ever
Pros:

The entire accommodation is way too run down, in desperate need of renovation. Doors and walls have zero sound insulation which means rowdy hoards of tourists waking up early for hikes and worse, returning very very late from local restaurants are making extreme noise which sounds like if it was next to your head. I had almost no sleep here in the three days I stayed. The mattress had old springs poking through and making noise every time I turned, waking up my 3m old daughter, if the other guests hasn't managed that already. All of the fixtures and fittings is shabby and 'dirty' looking. Breakfast was very basic without a choice. There is no lift so with a suitcase - good luck. Wouldn't recommend.

Please try any other accommodation nearby! You'll get much more for the same amount of money
Pros:

I'll try to summarize:
- the entire establishment is extremely outdated so if you feel nostalgic over your youth summer camps sleeping in dorms, then you might find Bisser satisfactory
- rooms don't look at all like in the picture: awful smell from the 30 year old and dirty moquette, everything looks dirty, old and uncomfortable
-breakfast offered consists in omelette, tomatoes, cake and tea/coffee/water. Definitely not like advertised in the pictures where it seemed much richer.
- impossible to flush, need to use a bucket of water
- issues with the boiler - no hot water

The entire establishment is extremely worn down, this shouldn't be a problem if for the same amount of money you couldn't get a lot better accommodation elsewhere. So please look around, Bansko is filled with family pensions, you can choose a lot better.

We booked a 4 nigh stay, moved to another accommodation after the first night.

Don’t come over here!
Pros:

The room was terrible as you can see, we had a small hall and in that was our room and someone’s else room. The door at the room was covered with a rag. I was hearing the guy who was standing in the room next to us from his room. In our last day at the breakfast, a guy from russia came at us for no reason to ask where are we from. We didn’t want to answer but the woman from the reception came and told him we are from Romania. That russian guy started to swear us and told us we are gipsy and things like that. The reception woman didn’t say anything. They also had a problem with the toilet. We will never came back at this hotel.

Lovely stay in a great value family hotel
Pros:

We had a great stay at Hotel Bisser on our ski holiday with comfy rooms, great food, a sauna and a free shuttle service to the gondola lift. The family running the hotel were lovely and accommodating - all round an excellent trip at a great price.

Very nice hotel!
Pros:

I loved this hotel as everything was OK - the room was cleaned every day and it was worm inside, wi/fi was working, the bathroom even small, it has all you need.
The old lady was cooking really great - we loved the food!
Also, they are offering a free shuttle to the sky area, which is great, even it is not very far from the hotel...but if you need to take the ski with you, it is better to use the shuttle.
Velina is the only girl talking in English (and Romanian as well :)) but we managed to talk to the old lady as well- there are no problems!
All their services were really great - supporting us with all information needed.
I would love returning there!

We had a lovely time and dinner at this place. We were there as a group of 8 and a child and the the hotel staff was very kind and helpful. It was a good deal since we had included sauna, shuttle bus to gondola, breakfast and dinner.
We loved spending time at this accommodation and we definitely recommend it.

Family stile hotel, cosy atmosphere and Bansko in general is not the best destination
Pros:

Staff is friendly and nice, they provide a shuttle bus to the skying area. Not too far walking-wise.
Breakfast sometimes was a bit of a joke but still it was provided and price wasn't too expensive.
But there is that terrible smog around. We were getting breathless and could hardly sleep.
Even by opening windows wide open in the middle of winter it still won't help because that smog was all over. Nobody ever cleans their chimneys. It was disastrous.
The room was small, in the bathroom there was no single curtain to prevent water from getting all over the room which was also quite unpleasant and rather dangerous.
Bansko in general is too crowded and Borovets is by far much better of a destination for skiing

You Get what you Pay for
Pros:

I caant grumble, for the money we paid it was good, very basic accomodation, very dated but very traditional. The owners were friendly although couldnt speak English but always called the daughter if we needed anything. One morning we had no hot water but apparantley this was a problem in Bansko itself, the toilet in our room however was very hard work to flush! There was also a foody smell when you walked into the hotel and just a note that there is no lift! Overall it was pleasant and good value for the money, the hotel also ran a free shuttle bus to the ski slopes which would take about 15 mins to walk to, the new town is approx 10 mins walk and the old town the same.

Perfect little place
Pros:

What a great little place! We stayed there for 7 nights, and had bfast included in the price (such amazing value!). We had a lovely room with a bathroom and balcony with view to the Bansko mountains.
Every morning the lovely owner made us fresh bfast, a little different every day but always tasty and setting us up for a day of skiing.
On the first day, as we arrived just after lunch and were starving, the lady made us a quick lunch which was very simple but tasty.
Very friendly lady and always aiming to please.
The carpet in the room isn't the newest but whatever, spacious room, clean, a little TV. Just what you need, especially for the price.
I would not hesitate to go back and would definitely recommend to anyone.

Convenient, comfortable and cozy
Pros:

The hotel was a cozy, convenient building just 10 minutes from everything. The place is warm even in Winter, and we barely felt the cold once we were indoors. The sauna was an awesome perk after a hard day of snowboarding or skiing. There are restaurants near the hotel with cheaper fare than the main street as well! Great price, great place, and best of all, it felt like you were staying in a home, thanks to the owners.

SUPER!
Pros:

Loved every single bit! Velina is amazingly pleasant and polite. Would come back anytime.
Was initially uncertain about the transfer to the slopes, but it turned out to be very very comfy. Georgi was always there and drove us to the slopes always with a smile. Amazing experience. The whole place and Bulgaria overall was just so wonderful. Really. Have nothing else to add.

Best value for money, very friendly environment
Pros:

We stayed there for 8 days and we had a great time! The hospitality was perfect. We had the chance to have view of the mountain from our room. We believe that it is the best value for money hotel we could find in Bansko. There is good WiFi and breakfast. We would like to see a small refrigerator. There is a public parking-lot (open and free of charge) near-by to park your car, since you will not need it in Bansko. We'll definitely go again there next year!

Best budget accommodation
Pros:

Booked the bisser for only £10pp so were not expecting a lot. The family that run it are so helpful and friendly. What more can you want for 10 pound a night, got breakfast, good location- only 5 mins walk to the Main Street, shuttle bus to gondola, free wifi in your bedroom, a sauna ( wasn't on so if you want to use it you have to turn it on in advance to heat up) They even made us a packed lunch to take with us, as we had to leave too early for breakfast. obviously the rooms are budget, but knew that before. Very impressed and would definitely return again.

friendly, good location, clean
Pros:

I am writing this while still staying at the hotel as I wanted to be sure that I wrote it. It's the first time reviewing a hotel but it had to be done as for some reason there are no other reviews of this hotel on here and I can't understand why.

The hotel is run by a lovely Bulgarian family who couldn't be more accommodating. The mother and father don't speak a word of English but will still chatter away to you as if you know what they're talking about! The daughters however speak excellent English and if there's ever a communication problem, the parents will ring the daughters, either Magdalena or Velina, and put them on the phone to you.

The location is great - about a 10 minute walk to the gondola and maybe 15 minutes to the old town. There is a shuttle bus to the gondola each day if you don't want to walk and it will cost you 3 lev each way. We didn't use the shuttle and instead stored skis and boots at the gondola for 15 lev each day.

Breakfast is different each day and you will get whatever is on offer that particular morning. Dinner is available if you want it and you can just let them know during the day. As we were the only people eating there in the evening we just asked them to make whatever they wanted. It was good home cooked food, freshly prepared by 'mama' each evening and at a very reasonable price. A 3 course meal for 2 with a couple of drinks cost us 32 lev (about £16). We chose to eat at the hotel each evening as it is so much cheaper than eating out and also it's nice and relaxing in front of the log fire.

There is also a sauna and massage available. We have made use of them both and can highly recommend them. Again, both of these services are at very reasonable prices.

The rooms are comfortable and clean. The bed was made each day. The only downside was that the duvet was not much wider than the bed and after one night of my husband and I fighting over the duvet we asked for a second! They were more than happy to give us an extra one.

I would thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a decent hotel in Bansko at a really good price. I would suggest that you make all payments in the local currency as this will give you the best rate.
