Uncomfortable beds and pillows
Cold coffee made using machines rather than fresh.
Cold plates in dining room making food Cold and unpleasant to eat
It was a beautiful place to stay in stunning grounds. Choose and quality of food was lovely and entertainment all night
It would have been better for me personally if I didn’t have to pay £30 for every meal. It was still good value for a 3 course meal but didn’t always want that.
Very beautiful building and good food.. so many activities to be busy or a spa zone for relaxing. Lots of hiking paths. Absolutely beautiful location.
Because I've bought through booking.com we were treated a bit differently.
Good selection of food at breakfast. The hotel was located in beautiful countryside.
Would have liked paper maps of the building, facilities and surroundings rather than everything needing to be accessed by qr codes on your phone.
Grounds, and hotel itself clean .. although our room had dust in bedside lights both sides.
Digital map not user friendly. Staff uninformative. Unless you book weeks in advance for spa treatments there was NO AVAILABILITY! I asked for a Prosecco apparently they had none at present ! Coffee nest is advertised to open at 10 , it opened at 12.15 ! My husbands lunch order wasn’t taken ! I was given a beer with the lid still screwed on ! Our room card didn’t work on arrival ! Need I go on……
Scenery
Poor service of young staff who didn’t want to be there. Location of our room over service entrance, being kept awake by staff leaving at night and delivery trucks arriving early morning. No air conditioning so got very warm when trying to keep noise out by closing windows. Service tray in room wasn’t replenished for our arrival. Being woken up during the night by central heating pipes banging loudly.
Exelant facilities and wonderful walks
The "spa" facilities were poor - steam room not working and very basic facilities.
I liked the pool facilities
The average age of guests at this hotel was 70+. The restaurant didn't feel very high end and had an awkward booking system that had to be done far in advance of stay with nicer parts of hotel fully booked out fast. The hotel is located outside the town which cost a lot to get a taxi into to eat more central. There was an issue with our room where the pipes in the wall were very noisy throughout the night which kept us up at night.
The theatre. The food. The surroundings.. riffle shooting. The bed was comfy. Shower good
Staff were slow and left you waiting for too long when needing to be seated dispite walking passed us
Spa is too small for the amount of guests. And the steam room was not hot enough. There was no steam!
Very spacious, relaxed and elegant
There wasn’t anything we didn’t like
Room and meals were excellent with helpful staff and food of good quality.
Checking in was a series of problems - transferring from South Wing to Mansion House only to discover access to the room (557) required two lifts and a tortuous route back through South Wing.
Breakfast on the second morning changed from Market Kitchen to Travelling Duke without notice.
Both of these minor issues were a problem as my wife has difficulty walking and uses a mobility scooter.
Beautiful hotel with you H great entertainment and facilities. The staff we so helpful. We asked about the history and one staff member took at least 20 mins of their time to tell us about it! Brilliant
Everything was better than expected. Will definitely book with Warners again
Nothing
Wonderful location for the Cotswolds
