The staff was amazing. We were super well received and taken care of. Mrs Rama and his crew will treat you like home.

Rama and his team do a wonderful job. They make you feel welcome and at home. Nikara Beach Villas is a quiet, relaxed place. No TV in the room, just great!.
Excellent and plenty of food. If there is enough time they prepare just every Sri Lankan dish!
It was difficult to leave...

Where to start! I’m not usually one to leave reviews but our stay at Nikara Beach Villas was one of the best, most relaxing experiences we have had in Sri Lanka. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel so welcome and any request me made was dealt with in the blink of an eye. Rama, Lahiru, and Riyas made our stay wonderful. Not to mention that Honey, (the cat) became our shadow, and we loved it. Honey’s sister (cat) Peanut (the dog) and Peanut’s brother (also a dog) were also all very lovey and made our stay even more wonderful.
The breakfast is most certainly a highlight of staying here. The food was all freshly, hand made, and local (we opted for Sri Lankan breakfast but a Western breakfast was also offered). By far the best way to start our days!

Mr. Rama and his staff has made this stay the most comfortable one in Sri Lanka.

We were here out of season and the we had the place practicaly all to ourselves. The pool has a beautiful location by the beach, the rooms are spacey and the bed is huge and comfortable.

But above all is mr. Ramas kindness and hospitality. They make incredible breakfasts, from western to Sri Lankan to south Indian food, whatever your heart desires. The portions are huge, you can eat the breakfast, skip lunch and just eat dinner. :)

By the way, you can get free fruit plates and coconuts delivered to you to the pool ;)

We liked everything about this place. First of all there is to say that the staff, Ramana, Lahiru and Riyad did an amazing job making our stay super enjoyable. The best service ever, super nice food, very cozy bungalows, nice pool, and the beach right next to the Bungalows. if we had more time we would have stayed longer. Thanks Ramana, Lahiru and Riyad for being amazing people. Hoping to see you again :)

We had the most wonderful stay at Nikara Villas, thanks to the exceptional hospitality of Sanah and his team. Everyone was incredibly friendly, kind, and always ready to help, making us feel so welcome.
Our villa was perfectly clean and comfortable, and even had filtered water from the bathroom taps - a small detail that we really appreciated. Waking up to the soothing sounds of waves and birdsong, with stunning views of both the sea and the pool right outside our doorstep, was exactly what we needed for some much needed rest and relaxation. The location is perfect - just a short walk along the beach to the centre of Arugam Bay.
The food was absolutely delicious, thanks to the Chef Saman and his team. We even had a Sri Lankan cooking class with Saman, which was so much fun - we learned so much and I can't wait to try the recipes at home.
The team are also so helpful at providing great local recommendations, from bike rentals and surfing lessons to tips on where to spot elephants.
Thank you to the entire Nikara team for making our stay so peaceful, memorable, and special. I hope to return one day.

We had an excellent stay! The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The food was outstanding, and the staff were happy to cook anything we requested — a special thanks to Lahiru the chef and Pravin for their wonderful service. The manager was also very helpful and attentive to all our needs.

Sehr sympathische und hilfsbereite Angestellte, die das Hotel managen und bei allen Fragen und Wünschen behilflich sind. Ich habe eine tolle Safari zum Kununa Nat.park organisiert bekommen und konnte auch meinen Transfer nach Ella in die Berge per Privat-PKW günstiger als im Internet bekommen. Besonders Praveen, Akash und Ramanayaka möchte ich hier speziell erwähnen und loben! 👏
Die Lage ist prima, direkt am Strand mit Pool, ruhig, da zurückgesetzt von der Strasse. Zwischen Arugam und Pottuvil gelegen. Zu Fuß benötigt man etwa 20 Minuten nach Arugam, wo das touristische Leben pulsiert. Sehr leckere Frühstücksangebote und sehr schöne Zimmer/Villas mit sauberem, schönen Bad.

Everything is phenomenal! The staff especially Tharindu care for you to another level! What a place !!

Very nice staff! Akkash gave us a private tour through Arugam Bay. We saw many elephants and birds, and he told us a lot about the city and its culture. The accommodation also has a beautiful swimming pool, which made our stay even more enjoyable.

Hebben hier een top tijd gehad! Mooie ligging, net (1min) buiten de drukte van Arugam Bay. Mooie, losstaande villa's met een onwijs goed bed!

Zwembad is mooi, en er zijn goede ligbedden aanwezig.

Daarnaast echt top personeel! Akash heeft ons vriendelijk verwelkomd, en ons thuis laten voelen. Nam ons mee om in de buurt olifanten te gaan zoeken!

We loved everything about Nikara Beach Villa. The place was very serene, not too far from main Arumgam Bay but still a good short distance to enjoy some quiet time. The staff were all great. They were very attentitive, helpful and always had a smile on their face. The staff made our stay special. On the fist night our bedside lamps did not work and once we reported it they sorted out straight away. It was place we felt very comfortable and could have stayed longer!

So good, the staff were the most friendly people you could meet. They all enjoyed themselves, but could not do more for us . They even gave us a packed lunch when we left… pool was great, right on the beach.

Nikara is a true paradise in Sri Lanka. Right on the beach with its own refreshing pool. A fifteen-minute walk along the beach will take you to the heart of bustling Arumgan Bay, and a tuk-tuk ride will get you there in just a few minutes.

The breakfast is delicious, and they even arrange a breakfast box if you're leaving early on safari. The staff is very friendly and speaks good English. The owner is wonderful and always up for a chat.

We even booked an extra night because we loved it there so much.

Das Personal war unglaublich freundlich und zuvorkommend und außerdem sehr hilfsbereit. Sie haben uns sogar geholfen, als wir Probleme mit unserem TukTuk hatten und waren sehr bemüht. Wir haben uns sehr wohl und willkommen gefühlt. Der Pool und die Außenanlagen sind sehr schön und gepflegt und das Hotel liegt in etwas abseits vom Trubel in Arugam Bay an einem leeren Strand.
