This is an absolutely beautiful place to stay. The standout feature were the hotel staff, who were incredibly friendly and accommodating. The place is kept spotlessly clean and our room was great. A real gem - we will definitely stay again. There were plenty of nice facilities and we especially liked spending some time in the hot tub in the courtyard.
While the hotel was basically perfect, the restaurant (which is understand is actually a separate concern/business was a little more hit and miss. The breakfast service was friendly and efficient on 2 of the 3 days and a little rushed/dismissive on the other. The food was generally good but not great - we had 3 breakfasts and one dinner there, plus some lunch snacks one day. Overall, our feeling was that the restaurant did not quite live up to the superb standards of the hotel itself.

Breakfast was fantastic with lots of individual choices all individually freshly prepared. We had a lovely room overlooking the quaint little street the hotel sits on. Amazing insite into the hotels history as a soap factory

This is a beautiful hotel, very nicely converted and decorated. We booked a nice room but were upgraded to an even nicer room, the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful - we learned so much about Porto just at check in. The breakfasts were outstanding, the spa excellent and the whole experience top notch

Ein Stadthotel mit viel Stil und einer sehr angenehmen Atmosphäre. Besonders hervorzuheben sind die außergewöhnliche Freundlichkeit und Höflichkeit des gesamten Personals sowie die herzliche und hilfreiche Unterstützung an der Rezeption. Sehr angenehm fanden wir auch, dass es morgens kein Buffet gibt, sondern das Frühstück serviert wird. Auch das hoteleigene Restaurant mit seiner leichten Interpretation traditioneller Küche ist sehr zu empfehlen. Für ein Stadthotel ist es fast wie eine kleine Oase - und dank guter Fenster und Klimaanlage bleibt der übliche Stadtlärm im Zimmer bei geschlossenen Fenstern praktisch draußen.
Wir hatten nichts zu bemängeln.
