Adequate property in a great location with very helpful and attentive staff
Pros:

On the doorstep of the park - the main entrance was just 300 metres down the hill. Great views and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The included breakfast was really nice.

Cons:

It was perfectly adequate. Nothing to rave about - except the awesome staff - and nothing to complain about either. The packed lunch could do with a little flair - sandwich was dry and tasteless.

Good value for money and good location if you want to be next door to the Cloud Forest.
Pros:

Location , 10 minute walk to Monteverde Cloud Forest visitors centre. . Restaurant excellent value for money. Staff very helpful and friendly.

-Frühstück als Menüauswahl
- sehr nettes Personal
- Heizstrahler im Zimmer für kalte Nächte

Cons:

- das Hotel liegt sehr weit außerhalb und man muss weit den Berg hoch fahren
- alle Restaurants sind unten im Ort
- die Ausstattung der Zimmer ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen

Nice hotel
Pros:

Check-in was quick, the room was simple but clean, breakfast was good, and the staff was friendly.

Cons:

Location wasn't bad, but you couldn't really walk to town or activities. Small night tables on the side, but No night tables in between the beds, had to place items on the floor. In the ad pictures, it appeared the hotel had a view towards the hills and gulf; however, the trees were very tall and blocked what could be a great view.

Monteverde Cloud Forest
Pros:

Das Personal war sehr hilfsbereit, besonders beim Planen von Touren. Das Zimmer war groß und sauber, leider etwas dunkel und nachts recht kalt. Man hat uns aber ohne Probleme einen Heizlüfter gebracht. Die Anfahrt nach Monteverde und speziell zum Hotel war schon sehr abenteuerlich.
Zum Dank haben wir aber Quetzals, Kolibris, Sloths uvm. gesehen.

Cons:

Das Frühstück hätte etwas besser sein können. Man ist aber sehr bemüht, alle Wünsche zu erfüllen. Wie schon erwähnt, war die Anfahrt sehr abenteuerlich, trotz 4 x 4. Aber so ist das nunmal in Costa Rica.

Très bien placé. Prévoyez une petit laine. Il fait frais la haut.
Pros:

Bien situe avec tous les services minimum.

Cons:

Accueil en rodage. Infrastructure qui mériteraient des rénovations mais propres et fonctionnelles.

Une étape intéressante pour Monteverde
Pros:

Le restaurant n’est pas trop cher pour Monteverde. La salle de petit déjeuner est magnifique et le petit déjeuner très copieux. Il y a eu un problème de réservation, mais le personnel a réglé ça rapidement, merci à eux !

Cons:

Les matelas sont un peu trop dur pour nous, et l’éclairage de la chambre est un peu miséreux

Great location, lovely staff, very fairly priced though room could use a bit of updating
Pros:

Location close to Monteverde Biological Reserve was great - we walked there and back two of the three days we stayed at Trapp Family Hotel. The other day we went to Curi-Cancha which was a very short drive. The lodge is in a beautiful setting with lovely gardens and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The food in the restaurant was very good and fairly priced relative to other meals we had in the area. We liked the woodwork throughout the lodge building which gave it warmth and elegance, though certain features could use some updating as discussed below.

Cons:

The room we stayed in was in the main lodge building and though very clean, was a bit tired. The carpet was threadbare in places and lighting was too dim for our taste but other than that it was was well kept
