The heritage the building has.

Cons:

Old outdated, no room service. No conceriage, dust in the room. Spider webs inside the room, no global tv channels and the tv was old.

Superbly positioned in the middle of the blue mountains, an absolute iconic hotel
Pros:

The views from our room were spectacular. Comfortable bed. The ambiance was of yesteryear with stunning Art Deco architecture. Iconic hotel that you must try once in your life. We had high tea in the restaurant after a day spent hiking, and supper in the relaxed bar with cocktails and more magnificent windows perfect for sunset watching. Breakfast

Cons:

Bathroom is small but definitely adequate, however the extraction fans are motion sensor activated the moment you don’t move for a second it stopped so after showering the room stayed damp and fog filled.
No coffee machine! In the room, I personally think pod machines should be supplied in properties 4 star and above.
Lack of correct cutlery in the restaurant and no serving implements at high tea I would prefer tongs to pick up food.

Staff are great. The view is the key for staying, limited access to this at breakfast is a let down.
Pros:

Staff are great and the old world charm is amazing with a great view for the location, which is why we chose this place.

Cons:

You have an amazing location which is why we came there. Limiting seats at breakfast to not allow people to sit at the available/possible window seats is where you failed as an establishment and will make me think twice about coming back again.

We’re so glad to have finally stayed.
Pros:

Breakfast was great. The staff for the most part excellent. Particularly the ‘junior’ staff or those that seemed like they may still be in training - they were really keen to help and make things as comfortable for us as possible. The room cleaning staff were all friendly in the corridors. We really only had one staff member, a more senior person who greeted us on arrival in the restaurant- a few times he was quite dismissive.

Cons:

Our room had a musty/mouldy smell to it. When we were settled it, it was obvious that this was because the carpet at the join of the bathroom door had obviously been wet at some point and the rotting carpet/underfloor was moldy.
We also felt that all the exterior, and some of the corridors/stairways could do with a high pressure hose or coat of paint. It definitely deminishes the beauty and grandeur of such an historic building.
If it was all maintained to the level of the restaurant it would be magnificent.

Will definitely be back for high tea and that spectacular view. Just not sure we’d spend the night again

Beautiful heritage accommodation with great views
Pros:

Central location, well maintained and beautiful views

Cons:

Lack of information from book in desk staff.
We were looking forward to dinner in Wintergarden main restaurant.
Young lady on reception failed to advise that restaurant was unavailable due to large wedding party and didn’t discuss other available options, my wife found out from a waiter in the lounge afterwards.
Very poor customer service for a venue of this caliber

Enjoyed staying here again.

I always love the ambience of the hotel.

Some of your staff were outstanding in the service they provided.

Cons:

Some of the staff were a bit snappy.

The oysters we ordered on Saturday night were not good. They were described as kilpatrick but were not cooked. If this was intentional it was not successful.

Comfortable stay with Picturesque views
Pros:

Very informed and friendly staff. People are the highlight of this accommodation. Warm and friendly.
