The hotel was very clean, the location was excellent, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast offered a good variety of options.

Cons:

We booked two rooms during our stay. Unfortunately, Room 301 had a view directly facing a wall, which made it feel dark and enclosed. We also found the mattress to be much too soft for our liking, making it less comfortable to sleep on. Overall, we felt the hotel was quite expensive for what it offers, and the overall experience did not match the price we paid.

Our stay at The Westin Istanbul in May 2026 was exceptional, and a huge part of that was because of our concierge, Ilker.

I have travelled extensively and stayed in many luxury hotels around the world, but I have never experienced concierge service like Ilker’s. From the moment we arrived, he went above and beyond to ensure every aspect of our stay was perfect. Nothing was ever too much trouble.

During our stay, I underwent surgery, which could have been a stressful experience away from home. Ilker made everything so much easier. He anticipated our needs before we even had to ask, organised anything we required, regularly checked in on us, and genuinely cared about our wellbeing. His kindness, professionalism, and attention to detail made us feel completely supported throughout our recovery.

What stood out most was how he made us feel—not like hotel guests, but like family. His warmth, compassion, and willingness to go the extra mile are qualities that are incredibly rare in hospitality.

The Westin Istanbul is a beautiful hotel with excellent facilities, but it is people like Ilker who make it truly unforgettable. He is an incredible asset to the hotel, and because of him, we would not hesitate to return and recommend The Westin Istanbul to anyone visiting the city.

Thank you, Ilker, for making what could have been a difficult trip into such a memorable and positive experience. We will never forget your kindness.

Excellent stay in Nisantasi without the nisantasi-esque blow to the wallet
Pros:

Very well located property in the middle of Nisantasi. The facilities are very well maintained and the rooms are very comfortable. Great value in a very high value neighborhood!
The staff was excellent. Very hospitable and accommodative to our needs. We were traveling with our 2.5 year old, so needed some special attention. :) Especially when we messed up one of our bookings, Erdogan was very helpful in helping us fix. Thanks to Ikram, Ogur and Mustapha also. They made our stay very enjoyable.
