Pleasantly surprised
Pros:

The photos lead me to believe the room would be a on the smaller side, little old fashioned and tired, but it was not that at all. It was freshly renovated, spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was much larger and more modern that I expected. Beds were comfortable and I loved the little sitting area outside.

Cons:

I'd love the addition of a toaster or something to allow for some food preparation, but I went knowing that wasn't available and made it work.
Could do with an extra towel hanger or two in the bathroom.
I can see they are planning to put hedges or something between each room's sitting areas, and that will be excellent too.

Pros:

Good location and parking

Cons:

Very few eateries open. We found two. We stayed on a Monday and Tuesday. Town seems to be dead these days compared with when we stayed 5 years ago
The hotel itself is not open. Everything done by email, text messages and lockbox. It worked ok but would've been nice to eat in the hotel
