The rooms weren’t huge but they were big enough including having chairs to sit on. Very efficient air con. The bathroom was a wet room and hot water was controlled by an immersion heater - you just needed to switch on for maybe 30 minutes to heat the water up. Once hot it stayed so until the next morning. Outside we had a terrace with furniture with a fab sea view overlooking the pool and grounds. Everything was really clean and very well maintained. The groundsman was always out watering the plants and sweeping up. Big swimming pool. The room and grounds were freshly painted with new curtains and nets. Bedding and towels were changed daily. No fridge but staff were happy to let us keep our wine in the restaurant fridge.
All of the staff were really friendly and helpful.
Great location only 10 minutes walk down to the sea front but some shops and cafes nearer than that. Someone commented on the road that you walk along to main street - but this is India you can’t expect pathways and roads like those we have in the UK. We’re all pensioners and we were fine with the pleasant walk past the trees, bushes and temple. We felt perfectly safe walking.
Staff realised it was my husband's birthday on the day we checked in. They created him a birthday poster which they all signed and left it in a flower petal heart on our bed. Ah how lovely! They also offered him a free birthday massage.
Nothing
The room was good,it was all good
Sea view from the hotel
Ayurveda treatment
Very friendly staff
Building structure
A bit difficult to reach the hotel
we rented 3 balacony rooms with sea view. It was nice to relax and enjoy in the pool - while having good view of beach and palm grove.
Kids and family loved the swimming pool experience. It will be great if swimming tubes or balls can be provided (atleast for rent) for kids to play in water.
The location is very close to Hawa beach of Kovalam. It's small beach, but a good volume of water and decent shops along the beach.
Breakfast - fresh south indian food was delicious and quick service.
Staff was very helpful and responsive.
I like the food and the rooms were clean
Its not worth the price, they lack the amenities for the price. There were no taps in the bath tub and the building was little old. The tv weren't working.we have to ask for brush, dryer and all. The stay was good only if the price was low. It was a little High priced compared to the amenities
Lovely "mid-budget" hotel.
Great location, short walk from the beach.
Alll the staff were very friendly and provided excellent service. I was even offered a complimentary massage and help with my travel plans.
I had a sea view room, which had a great sea view, including Kovalam lighthouse and also overlooked the well-kept swimming pool.
The hotel also offers a full range of Ayurvedic treatments, under the guidance of Dr Suresh.
The only potential downside, beyond the control of the hotel, was a nearby Hindu festival going on for a few days (date of stay April). I found it atmospheric, but some people might prefer more peace. Worth checking if you are looking for solitude.
Overall I would definitely recommend this hotel.
Our room and balcony with sea view was lovely. The staff were very friendly and helpful and couldn't do enough for you. The doctor was kind and the treatments were also good. The people at breakfast went over and above to try and make sure you were happy. Watching the eagles and hawks fly as we were so high up was awesome. A short walk to Kovalam/Lighthouse Beach which was great with shops, restaurants and sunbeds available on the beach and clean sea.
A very good stay, would definitely go back.
There was nothing we did not like.
good - breakfast - supposed to be buffet but hotel not busy enough so they cooked as requested - indian and western available- im vegan and they looked after me so well - kadala curry ( to die for!) and appam - missing it already - staff were fantastic and chef even showed me how to make it too ! any queries dealt with quickly nothing was too much trouble
location close to beach but not too close only issue was the yappy dogs next door
the hotel needs some attention - chipped tiles in room - balcony furniture needs replacing , pillows awful ! the whole place needs a lift for the money paid i feel - it all very dark - they have a room with two bit os gym kit in it !! they could do so much more
Staff was very helpful. Room was good.
Approach was difficult
Only veg menu, non veg had to be bought from outside. I was surrounded by people doing ayurveda treatment, so felt little awkward eating non veg there.
