Managed by a private host
It didnt include breakfast thankful as the kitchen was totally rank. The location was good though
The house was disgusting
location is good. everything is well written and self explanatory
very very small. i wouldnt pay £130 per night for such a small room. there was not even space to walk inside the room or two people cant stand at the same time. bathroom while taking bath i had to wait for it to drain it wouldnt drain peoperly. not very comfortable
The location is all I liked about the property. The property itself was very old and very small
The tiny room the dirty living conditions and the filthy bathroom it was awful
Location was good for the City center
Very basic and the bed was very low and you couldn’t walk around it so we had to climb over .
Good communication and instructions from the owner.. good size room. Great location.
Room smelled weird. When we went to use the bathroom it was very grim, not clean at all. We went through a really dirty kitchen area.. One of the other residents/people who live there was playing loud music. The bed was ok but the atmosphere was really off. We were there for maybe an hour before we called a friend, put the keys back as instructed and left to crash at theirs. We didn't stay the night. This was the cheapest place I found but I wish I had read reviews before booking as it isn't worth half of what I paid.
I didn’t
Took us 2 hours to get into the property , didn’t know which room was ours , left us 1 weeks box and an apple no kettle nothing nothing … the money didn’t for a room which made me feel I was in a crack den it wouldn’t be happening again the price is disgusting
walking distance to the main street while still being in a quiet area.
The King size room was spacious and clean and smelled pleasant upon entering as there were perfume sticks inside
The host was amiable and helpful even giving recommendations on where to eat
Check-in and check-out were easy with clear instructions given by email and fast replies on messenger if you need additional help with your booking.
-Not an ideal stay for families, more ideal for solo travelers, backpackers, and couples
Common space might be a bit small but to be honest I spent more time outside exploring Canterbury than staying in the common living area so really wasn't an issue for me.
The bedroom itself was clean. Although the bed slats were not installed properly so when we sat on the bed, it broke and we had to reinstall the bed frame. Was a good close walk to the old town which was very nice.
Felt very uncomfortable in the house. We did not realise there would be 2 long term people staying there. Was very strange rules set up along the house and in the morning part of the living space was sectioned off with a curtain and with a sign that said something along the lines of out of use. Also bathroom is much more dirtier than what it is in the pictures. We both did not use the shower due to large amounts of hair being left in the bathtub/shower and lack of cleaning. To be honest, if we knew it would be this uncomfortable to move along the house and use the bathroom and kitchen, we would have spent extra on a branded hotel. We also never met anyone else in the house, which is fine but when staying at other peoples houses in the past we have had clearer rules and more comfortable settings.
